Marriott's MountainSide

Stayed here for a few days after work conference in Salt Lake City. Easy Uber ride from the city. Situated right at the base of the mountain. Although we were staying in the shoulder season would of course be ideal for ski season. Easy walk to heart of shopping area. Loved the multiple hot tubs and pool - which were perfect for nights dipping into the 40s.

Phenomenal customer service, great reservation system, a front desk employee named “Justin” gave us a great room on the top floor since it was a belated anniversary trip! Jonathan at the front desk also was very personable, and the BILL captain took our groceries that were melting to put them in their freezer while we waited for a room, and then brought them upstairs for us…. Such wonderful and prompt service! Room 7929 had a fabulous view of the pool and mountainside with great shampoo/conditioner/shower gel to boot! Amazingly clean, whenever we needed to call for any item like an extra floor mat or towels someone answer the phone within one to two rings and were very prompt to deliver items and help us in anyway needed. Very comfortable bed, soft linens, a kitchen with every amenities needed (tho Spatulas would be a nice addition!). The gym was fairly warm a few days in a row so I finally noticed over by the towels & water there was a number to text … the response was immediate! Not one, but three employees came down, almost immediately and brought a fan, and sent engineers to figure out what was going on (it was 79°), & they apologize and promptly went about getting it fixed!… such amazing responses! The pool was just the right temp & had a swimming lane designated for lap swimmers. Multiple clean and perfect temp, hot tubs with colored lights and one designated as a “quiet“ tub which is nice due to so many families/kids who were all having a ball! Every detail is appreciated from the special green “ chlorophyll” cold water in the lobby to help you adjust to the altitude (approx. 7,000 feet), to nooo pressure for timeshare presentations. (Phew!)

I want two things from a hotel: 1. Cleanliness 2. A good night’s sleep. Mountainside gets an A for cleanliness and a D for sleep. Beds are average/fine but the walls are paper thin. The first 2 nights we had a neighbor with an infant and a toddler who was apparently prone to night terrors. I was excited to get new, much older, neighbors the last night until one side awoke at 5:15am and were up getting ready until 6:30. Then the other side woke at 7:00 which would be my normal wake time but I was exhausted. I could hear every word (gentleman will be attending his reunion shortly) they said and just gave up trying to sleep. Maybe in ski season people are tired and go to bed at a reasonable hour? It’s very kid friendly- there were kids running around everywhere. Maybe less “grown adult” friendly. Also note: though it’s a Marriott, your Bonvoy status is meaningless and you don’t earn points for a stay here.

We've stayed here several times; winter, spring and summer. Always clean, great staff. Huge rooms. Very comfortable and makes you feel at home. Will return.

True ski in/out. Shared kitchen/seating area and two connecting rooms with another couple. Plenty of space! Kitchen could use updated cookware. No onsite restaurant, but plenty nearby. Hot tub area is spacious. Ski valet is well run. $15 Uber into old town Park City. Spacious underground parking spots. Pool table and hang out room overlooks pool area and slopes and is perfect for teens and kids. Great family hotel. Staff super friendly.

Location is amazing! This is our first time here and my boys are taking lessons so i love we can walk right out the door to the slopes. The hotel is fine, a little dated but comfortable and everyone is so nice here. I almost did a 3 star because of the check in and check out. They didn’t give us a room until almost 5 and check out is 10 am which is INSANE! I’m sorry but for the prices you are paying here, you should get until noon, most hotels are noon. Our fireplace didn’t work so that was a bummer too but I didn’t let that bother me. All in all i would recommend it here but they reall should have a noon checkout, especially if you get a room at 5.

We stayed in a two bedroom at Marriott Mountainside. It was our first time there and we enjoyed our stay. You can easily walk out to the slope and get on a lift. They have a ski valet in the building where you can check your skis each day so you don't have to take them to your room. The property is in good condition and the staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the live music on Tuesday evening and the hot tub after skiing.

This was our first time to the Marriott Mountainside Park City resort. It was the perfect location for ski in/ski out ability. The Park City Mountain was right there. Plenty of places to rent skis and snowboards and other equipment. We had a one bedroom with a Mountain View. It has a nicely equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, pull out couch in the living room, fireplace, two bathroom sinks and both a walk in shower and large soaking tub. There are free shuttle buses that take you into Park City Main Street with various shops, bars and restaurants. They run like every 10 minutes and it’s so convenient. We took a short Uber ride the Olympic training facility and Woodward’s to snow tubing. Highly recommend! The entire resort was decorated for Christmas and so many activities so be sure to look at the calendar. We did a snowshoe walk with the resort and it was amazing! All the staff was helpful and anything you need, they will get it for you! I don’t remember the gentleman that was always in the lobby helping people out, but he was fabulous! We have already scheduled a trip back next December 2024.

Stayed here for the week with a timeshare exchange. Arrival was the only disappointing part, as there is a very small entrance and parking for only three vehicles for checking in, which can make it difficult on arrival, particularly when another guest parks in unauthorized spots. The front desk and concierge staff are very friendly and helpful. Our one bedroom unit was very spacious, clean, comfortable and well stocked with kitchen necessities. Both a shower (bathroom) and a tub (bedroom) were present. The resort has activities galore for families throughout the week, most are free. Movies in the theater three times a day, a free magic show each week. Large pool area. If that is not enough, immediately adjacent to the resort is Park City Resort, which has an alpine slide, ski lift, alpine coaster, zip line, miniature golf, ropes course, and other activities, although priced somewhat higher than anticipated. No restaurant at the Marriott, although the adjacent resort has two or three restaurants. Downtown Park City is perhaps less than a mile walk (slightly uphill on the way, downhill back) with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Park City also has free shuttle buses that will pick you up in front of the resort and take you to downtown or other parts of town. The entire area is filled with great places to hike, boat, fish, sightsee, and historic sites / museums / railroad. Salt Lake City is 45 minutes away down the hill for additional zoo, aviary, museums and gardens. Absolutely wonderful place to stay for the summer!
