Hotels Near Les Rochers dans le Ciel in Paris

We visited Paris for 3 nights , 4 days. I was apprehensive as its a budget hotel but I was blown away by this establishment. Check in was a breeze, nice friendly staff. Parking we paid for was around £15 a day. The carpark was very tight as we were in a 7 seater but it was secure and on site which is a blessing in Paris. The rooms are basic with a double bed and bunk setup, two rooms we had were identical. One with a view of the hotel front and another the hotel rear, both rooms only about 5 metres apart. Nice clean bed linen, towels and handtowels. Body and hair wash complementary in pump attached to shower wall. There was a TV in each room with remote on which we watched the ladies European championships final. Breakfast was 6am to 930am. Continental breakfast , coffees and juice. Plentiful and always stocked up. Kids loved it.. Hotel was a 10 min walk from metro station and commuting to various area of the city was a really easy. The only minor thing was noise on one night (around 130am) of other guests on our floor, this I know is something that can't be helped but it really would not deter us returning to this hotel or recommending it. Great value for money, great breakfasts, parking onside and good location for communities. We recommend to anyone.

Le séjour de notre groupe scolaire dans cet hostel fut un désastre ! Nous avons rencontré de nombreux problèmes dès le début de notre séjour, notamment le service de réservation toujours en ”congés” qui répondait avec des délais jamais vu pour un service groupe, et de plus désagréable et non professionnel au possible. Dans l'ensemble, le niveau de service offert par le personnel était très bas, ce qui a rendu le séjour très désagréable. Le pire a été le service après-vente, où nous avons soumis une demande de geste commercial pour compenser les problèmes que nous avons rencontrés : - Douche qui fuyait dans une des chambres : l'auberge a répondu que les élèves l'avait ”cassée” ; c'était la CPE qui logeait dans cette chambre... aucun élève n'y était jamais entré... et on lui a donné une serviette pour éponger au lieu de la changer de chambre ! - Une autre chambre qui ne fermait pas : ils nous ont dit que c'était les élèves qui l'avaient cassés (encore c'est pratique!) alors qu'au check in, ils nous avaient prévenu ne fermait pas. - Il a fallu insister pendant 24h pour qu'il y ait quelque chose de fait, entre temps les occupantes, des filles mineures, ont dormi sans aucune sécurité au sein de l'établissement et le lendemain ont du laissé leurs affaires dans une chambre qui ne fermaient pas. - le petit déjeuner : un croissant réchauffé + une boisson chaude au choix entre du café, du chocolat et... de l'eau chaude, pas un sachet de thé ou autre ! C'est connu, les gens raffolent d'eau chaude le matin. Demande de remboursement d'un enfant malade qui n'avait pas pu venir, on nous a dit que le stock (d'eau chaude et de croissants congelés??) avait été prévu en avance et ne pouvait pas être remboursé. Malheureusement, après avoir essayé par tout les moyens d'avoir un retour qui ne soient pas des allégations mensongères pour justifier leur service médiocre, ce fût peine perdue nous n'avons plus jamais eu de retour du responsable de cet établissement ce qui n'est absolument pas professionnel au delà d'être juste correct. Nous avons même dû redemander plusieurs fois pour avoir la facture finale (et correcte !). Nous avons même essayé de contacter le service après vente du groupe LOUVRE HOTELS mais nous n'avons jamais eu de retour a nos nombreuses demandes : Nous avons bien reçu votre demande, d'ailleurs voici sa référence : **********7. I stayed here for 3 nights with my friend. The room was small (barely enough room to open the suitcase up). The beds were comfy but the room got so hot in the night we both slept awfully and kept waking up sweating. The bathroom was tiny and mouldy. The shower was however a good shower and body wash was provided. The hotel is within 10 minute walk of the bus and train stations so handy and easy to get into the city centre. I left money in the room and we came back that evening, i was missing 25 euro. We then the next day left the sign on the door for our room to not be touched however this was ignored and cleaners had been in. Left feeling very unhappy and will not recommend this hotel or stay again.

The hotel is south of Paris, it is eaten, uses a lot of the Uber from there to the center about 20 minutes, there is also the possibility of li public transport. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable and very comfortable. Thank you very much

Visit with a group ,we did make a reservation in advance for a early price fee ,also responding with mail to the managment,in order of covid the trip was delay to another date ,certainly after contact when covid was allowed to travel again ,they lost or reservation and didn't no explain why ,so we did forced again to make the same reservation but in order another price higher then before ,checked and visit the hotel before the visiting date and promised there are accomadation for store luggage ,bikes certainley at day arriving there was no accomodation and no communication ,the breakfast was horrible and basic ,the chef kitchen use microwave for boiling eggs ,never seen that before ,France where the gastronomie are high standard is this hotel ,managment a dissapointment,never again

Surprisingly nice hotel with studio/apartment rooms including a small kitchen. You wont get better than this for the price in this area of Paris. Rooms are very clean and spacious with all necessities available. Beds are comfortable and I really had nothing to complain about. Reception/lobby is open 24/7 and the Boy working in the reception are very helpful. Big thanks to the boy all their assistance along our 6 nights stay in Room No 227, (our check in and check out date is 2024 04 24- 2024-04-30) The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs and there are many nice restaurants outside and nearby, including Chinese and Vietnamese restaurants. I can easily recommend this place to anyone.

Yes, rooms are very small by US standards, smaller than the smallest room I saw at the College Park (Atlanta Airport) Econo Lodge. However, they are twice as big as what they call “single rooms” in London’s budget hotels, which are half way between the traditional English phone booth and a small US closet, where you sleep in a tiny 90 centimeters army cot WITHOUT AC for the price you pay at the Los Angeles LAX Sheraton! At this CHOICE COMFORT HOTEL PORTE D’IVRY at least, you will sleep in a double bed in a small but clean room WITH AC, tiny desk and phone, and a full bath with the biggest shower (3 times bigger) that I’ve ever seen in Europe, together with the one of room 823 at the Orly Best Western Plus, which is the same size. It also has a sink with a hair dryer and a private “wishing well”, the greatest invention of mankind… Those amenities such as a big refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board that I always see in all CHOICE HOTELS (whether Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Clarion, etc.) in the US for around $100 with buffet breakfast included, are just a dream in Europe, so forget about it! I’ll say the same about the ice machine, which we find even in cheapest motels, and sometimes on every floor in high-end hotels like the Clarion. Forget it! The only place where I have seen an ice machine outside of the US was at the Gran Hotel Argentino in Buenos Aires, after I harassed the manager during more than seven years asking for it during every trip in the 1990s! THE MAIN ASSET of this Comfort Hotel Porte d’Ivry is its LOCATION. A short 4 blocks walk will put you at “Porte d’Ivry”, where you will see the terminal of bus 27 to go to “Quartier Latin”, “Notre-Dame”, “Opéra” and “Gare Saint-Lazare”, and also the terminal of bus 83, which will take you to “Port Royal” and “Sèvres-Babylone”. At the same “Porte d’Ivry”, you will also see the “Métro” (subway) line 7 going from “La Courneuve” in the north of Paris to “Mairie d’Ivry” in the south. If you enjoy traveling underground, this line will take you straight to “Chatelet” and “Opéra”. But I prefer to do that journey with bus 27. Last but not least, at that “Porte d’Ivry”, you will be able to take TRAM 3a, which circles Paris on the south and will take you from “Pont du Garigliano” on the west, to “Porte de Vincennes” on the east, where you will be able to take TRAM 3b, which circles Paris on the north side, and will take you to “Porte de la Chapelle”, where you will be able to take bus 350 to Roissy CDG. And if you fly to Orly, as I do with Iberia via Madrid, now that American Airlines have discontinued their nonstop flights 62 and 63 between Miami and Paris, then you can take the ORLYBUS and get off at the first stop in Paris, by my beloved Cité Universitaire, where I lived the best five years of my long life in the 1960s, then walk a block to “Montsouris” and take TRAM 3a to “Porte d’Ivy”, only six stations away. The room was very neat and well kept. The lighting looked very pretty and it was very good room for a budget hotel. I was completely satisfied with the experience. The room was also cleaned every day which was very good. It also had air conditioning that was excellent as Paris was very hot during my stay. It was located next to a shopping centre(Bercy 2) this was very convenient for me as I was able to get all that was needed inside there. The staff were okay. They were a bit passive aggressive but they did help. I didn’t hear of this 50 euros deposit which I was afraid of when booking this hotel. Instead I paid 4.02 euros as city tax which is understandable as I am staying in Paris. There was also a wonderful pizza shop which was shared with a bakery down the road from the hotel which had amazing pizza and great customer service. Even though the man couldn’t speak any English he was very pleasant. In terms of location, this hotel has a very good public transportation connections with bus stops within walking distance of the hotel which take you to the metro and the metro can take you across Paris. French public transportation was very easy to use and inexpensive. Even though, I felt some passive aggression in my time in France(which I believe is how french people are), I was completely satisfied with my experience and would recommend to people on a budget looking for hotels in Paris with good transportation connections.

I stayed at this hotel for four weeks in June and July. My experience here was disappointing, starting from the moment that I checked in. My reservation stated that fees and taxes were included and the final amount to be paid at the hotel was shown. I reserved “connecting studios for 4 people” and I was charged an extra 210 Euros at check-in without being told. When I questioned this later, I was told that there is a tax of $2.50 per person per night and the reservation amount only included this tax for one person, so I was charged for the other 3 people at check-in. However, I was still overcharged. One person was under 18 and should not have been charged at all. Another person was leaving early. I was able to eventually get a partial refund because of this. When I chose this hotel, I was looking for one that had air conditioning, and this feature is stated on the website for the hotel. When we arrived, it was very hot in both rooms and the temperature cannot be adjusted in the room. When I tried to get the air conditioning fixed, I was told that the temperature cannot be decreased under 26 degrees Celsius (78.8 Fahrenheit). The temperature cannot be controlled from the room. Most of the time, it seemed that the A/C wasn’t even on, and I was so hot that I was sweating. I did notice that the temperature in the lobby was always much cooler than in our rooms though. If you are looking for a hotel with air conditioning, you won’t be comfortable here. The customer service varied greatly depending on who was at the front desk. Some people were great and some definitely were not. The rooms are only cleaned once per week, but I didn’t mind that. The hotel uses thin, papery mattress covers that seem to be disposable and continually slip off of the mattress. I found myself constantly trying to put the mattress covers and sheets back in place to avoid sleeping on the bare mattress. The covers tear very easily, which made it difficult. This was very annoying. Overall, our stay wasn’t horrible, but we didn’t enjoy this hotel and were happy to check out. I won’t stay here the next time that I am in Paris for an extended stay.

The hotel is in a really nice position very close to the metro station of Jaurès that can get you basically everywhere. The place was clean and there is the chance to leave there your luggage if you come to early for check in or if you need to leave it after check out. That earns the 2 stars in my review. Unfortunately this was probably my worst experience in a hotel. Checking in I was told that we got an upgrade and, instead of our view on the city we got what is supposedly a better room facing an internal wall. I must say that I am not sure if that was really an upgrade because it didn't feel like it - and this makes me wonder what would have been a regular room. Rooms are poorly insulated and I could hear perfectly what was going on in the rooms next to our. The cleaning was good, but unfortunately the cleaning lady forgot to close our door and, when we came back to the hotel in the late afternoon, we found the door open. The only answer we got when we reported the issue was ”oh, that's not good” - indeed it isn't. Growing up in a similar business I have been taught to do what it take to make happy your guests and I found odd that I couldn't get a couple of spoons when I asked for them (”breakfast is closed now so we don't have spoons”). All in all, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The price doesn't match the service.
