This is my second time staying at this property. We had 2 rooms. Room 43 (5 stars) and Room 42 (2 stars). Room 43 has smell of sewer and it NEVER went away after staff’s 3 attempts to get rid of smell. Secondly, the room seem to be an add on of some sort where the size of shower is very small and off scale, even to Paris / Europe standard. Shower head is barely tall enough for me (5’4”) and too short for my son (5’11) - see photo. Otherwise, location is great. DO NOT stay in room 42!

I love the staff. They are friendly and very accomodating. The hotel is close to a Metro station and the Notre-Dame Cathedral.

My boyfriend and I wanted to visit Paris as a romantic couples trip and ofcourse wanted a decent hotel. After a little searching on the web we found Hotel Quartier Latin. We had a lot of delays on our way over here so we were worried the reception would be closed, however, there was a note on the door that said we could call the owners and they’d let us in. The next day we were served a lovely breakfast in our rooms and we felt very welcome. The days after we simply had a lovely time. The staff were very kind and humorous, the room was nice, clean and spacious with a rather big balcony overlooking the Paris streets. Overall we had a very pleasant experience, this hotel is definitely worth your money. Thank you chef!
Hotel Michelet Odeon

Latin Quarter
The location is wonderful, lots of resins cafe around. just about 5-10 mins walk from Odeon metro. Place is safe. even though that is a cafe right outside the theatre, once you close the balcony door, you won’t be here, anything from outside, the isolation is very good. The curtains were blackout curtains, which block the sunlight so I slept extremely well during my stay. Be aware that you ask to replace a set of new towels during the day. Once I came back to the hotel really late, I realise there were no towels. I went down to the reception and asked for a spare one, they said I must ask during the day as they can’t access any towels at night. The room is big enough for two people, shower is nice, strong, enough, hot water. Toilet is from the bathroom which Make it more convenient. I enjoy my stay at this hotel. Will consider Ida staying again for my next visit.
Hotel Trianon Rive Gauche

Latin Quarter
The best of the hotel is the location. The 4 stars are a little big, or at least the room we used. It had old carpet and dusty walls (because they have fabric). We didn't order food, they left water the first day and some chocolates. The rest of the days they didn't even refill the water bottle. Be grateful for sweets (but there may be diabetic people and so much sweet... better than water, drinks or some fruit) The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. They changed our towels every day, the bathroom had an old bathtub, there was Nuxe gel and Nuxe body cream, tissues. Good dryer. The reception staff is very polite. They stored our suitcases for us free of charge. That is if they retain €50 per day of stay in case there are damages or non-payment. In short, I would return to this hotel for this price. Thank you
Hotel Royal Saint-Michel

Latin Quarter
We had booked a return trip pre-covid. That had to be postponed. The hotel graciously kept our pre-paid booking open for us for 3 years! We returned in July this year Same lovely and attentive staff. Great room overlooking Boulevard St. Michel. Terrific little Tabac /bar below on street level. The River Seine on the corner and Notre Dame around the corner...still undergoing repairs for another year. This is our ”go to” hotel in Paris, right in the Latin Quarter, full of bars and restaurants. Housekeeping were terrific. Nothing was a problem. TIP: The RER (fast train) has 2 terminals nearby. One across the road and another up into the Latin Quarter which has elevator access direct to the station and fast train to Charles de Gaulle Airport. With luggage the elevator access was a boon. Can't wait to return to ”our home in Paris”
