The hotel is alright in general. The location, service and price has no alternative, because I need to take Thalys to the Netherlands at the end of my trip in French. The room is clean and the bathroom is quite big. The lighting is enough but has no control to adjust anything only on and off so a bit hot sometimes due to the heater. The only point of consideration would be it's small stairs and has no elevator so this may not be suitable for some.

Hotel in a back street, although very close to the buzz, the metro (Etienne Marcel) and a short work from Les Halles station (for CDG). But very cramped with tiny staircase, very small rooms and worn carpets. Had to sit sideways on the toilet in the small bathroom but the shower was good and the bedding very crisp and clean. Don’t book this for a romantic stay, but it is cheap for the central location, particularly if you are solo.

Hotel very well located, close to Les Halles and therefore the Chatelet metro station. The street is pedestrianized and very quiet at night. Close to many restaurants for all prices. Clean, comfortable, good bedding. Very friendly staff. Average breakfast but not expensive. A downside: no elevator and winding staircase which is normal in an old building.

The rooms are very small! The facility is quite old and certainly has its best years behind it. However, everything was clean. The staff is friendly and courteous. We were at the hotel before the specified check-in and were still allowed to move into our room. The central location is perfect.

I spent a couple nights at Hotel du Cygne in April. The reception lady was friendly and super helpful showing us a little map of the surroundings and places to see. The room was cleaned every morning and beds were made. The location is great as well. we had a plaisant time.

A shame to make us pay twice for our reservation! The latter, already paid on the internet, was billed to us again when leaving the hotel! An email was sent to them with proof of online payment. I hope for a commercial gesture from them otherwise I won't stop there! Hotel staff very unfriendly, it would be a question of being smiling and friendly at the very least when customers arrive. I give it a 2/5 instead of giving it a 1/5 because the room was very good.
