I booked through Trip.com with a discounted rate, hotel gave me a downstairs room whose window faced the main street, with people walking and noise, I asked if I could change it to another room due to light sleeper, but they mentioned because of the discounted rate is getting that room, they didn't sound very happy :( the bed wasn't ready with a quilt, pillow has some blood stain. Other than location, breakfast was alright, wasn’t very happy with the arrangement.

The room facilities and equipment are good, and air conditioning is important in summer. It's the time of the Paris Olympics. The location is relatively good and convenient for travel. The girls at the front desk are also very enthusiastic.

64 euros per night last minute Good value for money It was a meeting, view of the street but the street is quiet, apart from the garbage collectors and their noisy truck at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast not tested Nice for the rest

Booked this hotel, fully paid for, and my flight was delayed for 24 hours. Had called to inform of late arrival yet when arrived, hotel had cancelled and sold off the room. Would not recommend at all due to hotel taking advantage of their no show after 24 hours cancellation policy and keeping the full amount. I was a female solo traveller arriving at 9pm after a 24 hour flight delay and 36 hours of travelling with no place to stay. Zero remorse from the hotel staff and no accountability, claiming that I didn't call at all. Terrible and they should be ashamed of themselves. Good luck if you do decide to stay here and hope that there are no delays to your travel plans.

I learned a valuable lesson after my stay at Hotel District Republique: Take security measures to safeguard your luggage and bags! I was seeking an affordable clean place to stay with AC and I thought I had found the spot. Started off well. Check in was easy, room was ready before check-in time, and staff was friendly. Unfortunately, my experience took a nosedive. Brush aside the small room, very small shower, the fact that water flowed out from the shower stall, and daily street noise till 1-2 in the morning. This was our last day on a 2-week trip around Europe. We kept most of our belongings inside our luggage and bags only taking out the necessary. Before we checked out, we zip-tied our luggage with a unique zip tie. Upon arrival home, we discovered three of our items were missing. I think it’s pretty safe to say it couldn’t have been airport personnel due to the unique zip tie size. In addition, one of the missing items (pair of glasses) was kept in a backpack. Again, it would be difficult for airport security to remove. I contacted Agoda about my losses and they provided minimal support. They also advised me to deal with the hotel directly. I then contacted the hotel and they accepted zero responsibility. Their stance was firm that it could not have been their staff. It was only about a $300 loss but it provided a valuable lesson. Take precaution!

For a quick 3-night stay in Paris, this hotel was a nice place to relax. It can be a little bit hard to find since the outside looks more like the entrance to an office building, and it's along a narrow road where there are most cafés than there is housing. However, when you enter, you are greeted to very kind staff that can speak English (so, don't fret English-speakers!) and they offer their guidance on how to have the best vacation possible. I didn't try their breakfast, but from what I could see, their eating area was pretty compact where roughly 20 people could eat at a time. I also saw fruit and bread, but nothing much beyond that. I'd say it's better to eat out for breakfast if you want more distance and variety. My room was on the first floor, and it had one bed that could fit two people. Just like the breakfast area, it was compact with the essentials, and it's definitely suited for a vacation where all you need out of a bedroom is to go right to sleep. The TV was good, but there was only one English-speaking channel that I could find: CNN. Not that it factors into my rating, this part is simply to inform. The bed was soft, the shower and toilet were functional, and no air conditioning (but that's Europe, in general). I also requested my room to be clean at 8 in the morning, and by the time I returned from my adventures, it STILL wasn't clean. The housekeeper came by at 2pm to ask if I wanted my sheets changed, just as I was going to take my afternoon nap. That's a very long wait, and I wasn't in the mood to leave my room and wait for him to be finished, so I turned him away. I'd say waiting so long to clean a room that was personally requested to be checked on is my biggest complaint with this hotel. My vacation was wonderful, and this hotel was just good enough to give me a good night's rest. But, for those interested in staying here, keep in mind that it is a minimalistic location. Do not expect fancy bedrooms or food during your stay. Doesn't make it bad, but it's important to spend 90% of your day outside and come back here for the remainder.

We paid for two nights but checked out after one night. It is fit for purpose but that’s about it. The rooms are tiny, noisy! You can see through the gap in the door when somebody is on the loo. When the shower is on, your feet are sat in a puddle of water whilst on the loo. Bed pushed against the wall, no bedside table, no space for cosmetics etc. Not for us at all!! We asked for a bigger room but they are all the same size. The lady on reception was very apologetic. We paid a lot of money too.
