Stayed here for 2 weeks as a family of 7 and it’s the worst place we’ve stayed and is in no way a 4 star hotel, absolutely no way!! Rooms basic enough but then it’s just for sleeping in tbf, but there is a terrible smell of sewage in the rooms though, The food wasn’t great at all and as expected is very repetitive, but plenty pizza for the kids, 1 ice cream counter to serve all guests with one scoop so you’d have to que for ages for ice cream, cakes and fruit also to choose from beware all inclusive ends at 11pm but even then it’s only a select menu of drinks they include in the all inclusive menu the rest you must pay for at the bar(such as a small maritini €5 and kids slushies are €3 each) the wave pool “restaurant” which you have to book is a complete waste of time, same as main restaurant buffet but smaller so wait in ques to get minimum choice of food, which is just as bad as main restaurant Hotel in middle of island with no shops or street to waddle down so best to hire a car which we did and those were the best days we had there as we saw a lot of beautiful places out and about but the hotel won’t help or guide you as to where to go so research this yourself(we hired from Olympus car rental and he’s a sound bloke who will drop car off and return for it when your finished) Palaeokastritas is about 25 min drive and is gorgeous with a beautiful beach and lovely monestry on top of the mountain you can drive up and get parked at, also an aquarium there where you get a guided tour of and in turn get to use the sunbeds included as part of the ticket (parking is €5 for the whole day at the big car park) There’s a lot of lovely scenery out and about, Kassiopi being another lovely little hotspot, lovely little shops and restaurants to meander through. I’d Defo recommend it’s worth hiring a car to escape “Alcatraz” for a few days if not you’d be stuck there as the bus only goes to Corfu town, which I think we were around €20 single ticket for 7 of us!! Now The waterpark that’s attached to the resort is absolutely fantastic and you can defo spend a lot of days there, it’s honesty a brilliant place plenty to do and keep entertained but be warned the all inclusive DOES NOT carry on through to Aquapark, it stops at the gate and you can’t bring any food or drink in with you so you can either buy stuff inside Aquapark or take the 5 minute stroll back to the main restaurant for lunch! The 10%discount you get in there for food and drinks is nothing at all. The Main aqualand gate opens at 10am - 18:00pm and the side gate from the hotel opens at 11am - 17:00pm, The evening entertainment at the main reception/bar is upstairs and is non existent, you’ll need to get there early to get a seat as it’s not built for the volume of guests, all crammed into a rooftop bar, with a tiny stage area. There’s only 2 in the entertainment team and it shows, as it’s honestly a farce and completely underwhelming! Terrible attempt at bingo and not much else, oh yeah
