I have just completed my fifth week-long stay at Marriott's Legends Edge at Bay Point and cannot wait to go back. I do timeshare exchanges through Interval International. This resort has everything. The accommodations are excellent. While it isn't beachfront, there are water views because the Grand Lagoon is right there. I enjoyed incredible views, watching various watercraft come and go, and especially the sunsets each night.

The staff at the hotel were so friendly and accommodating. The activities staff were exceptional shout out to J.T., Mark, Nadia and Brittany for being so much fun. They deserve raises Also, the resort is beautiful along with the rooms. The only complaint I had was the pool was like bath water but that’s not the hotels fault, leave it to the Florida hot sun for that. My family will be back someday!!

Bad experience to start. I am a chairman’s club member of the Marriott Vacation Club. We arrived at 12:30 on our check in day and were told it would be ready shortly. At 3:30 were told the house keeper had to leave so the room was not ready. At 3:30 they assigned a different housekeeper and we were assured the room would be ready by 4. We will see, however if the new housekeeper only needed a half hour what was going on between 12:30 and 3:30, Very disappointing way to start a vacation

I stayed here for a girls week. I love the amenities, the pool and activities. They had some amazing restaurants close by. There were many local “fun things” like pontoon boats, beach fire rentals. I visited a few restaurants most which have a beach behind them. The souvenir shops I found to be affordable. I will definitely visit again.

Marriott should remove its branding from hotels that allow employees to not respect the loyalty of Bonvoy members. Ambassador with 2,499 lifetime nights. This place doesn’t care. Front desk was overheard commenting about me calling with that ambassador crap after I called Bonvoy customer service about sand being in the bed at checkin. When confronted, “Karen” threatened to call the police because we are rude. It’s not a crime to call out an incompetent and inconsiderate hospitality provider. She refused to provide her name. Really disappointed by the staff and will never return.

We stayed at this resort about a week ago as part of an early birthday present for me from my husband. The room to which we were assigned was vey updated, clean and spacious; however, the view was of the parking lot and golf area. We checked in late and the staff persons at the front desk advised us the resort was at 100% capacity, but suggested we check with the front desk again the next morning. The next morning, we spoke with some very courteous staff who advised they would have to speak with their supervisor and call us back. Within minutes, the front office supervisor Lathasha King called us back and informed us we could be moved to a room with a view of the pool. We were in the new room, which was also clean, updated and spacious within an hour of the conversation with Ms. King. Even though the weather was chilly and rainy in Panama City during our visit, the warm and pleasant responses from Ms. King and the front desk staff made up for the weather. We will definitely visit again!

We vacationed at Legend’s Edge from Jan 28 - Feb 3, having last visited in June 2021. Our villa felt newly remodeled, even though we know that renovations were actually completed in spring 2021. Everything was clean and well maintained. Our villa was fully stocked and ready when we arrived. I was impressed that Brian Ponton and Crystal Speights were still employed as guest services agents. Crystal called 3 weeks prior to our arrival to ask for our villa preferences and was able to grant our request by placing us in a quiet end unit in the Bluebell building. Brian kindly answered a lot of last minute questions and emailed me the current activities schedule as requested. Danielle assisted us at check in. Debbie Toney helped us plan some great winter excursions during our stay, and LeMarcus & Blake answered questions regarding best times to plan future visits. Our housekeeper, Pamela, was kind and responsive. Our villa was so clean that it felt new! Note — the Sheraton at Bay Point was recently sold to Bluegreen Vacations, which is a Hilton Vacation Club time share. During our visit, we were still able to access the pier and beach at Bay Point but are uncertain that this will be possible in the future. The pool bar there, Flip Flops, has a new menu. Pelicans was closed. It appears that an extensive remodel is underway. If access to the pier and beach were prohibited, our future stays at Legend’s Edge would be adversely affected, since there are no other restaurants within walking distance. Legend’s Edge remains one of our favorite Marriott Vacation Club properties. It is a beautiful, quiet, and peaceful resort where you can relax and unwind, enjoying beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and recharge!
