HOTEL Vucko with Kids. Kids can't go into the Wellness place. The food was lovely, but quite restricted for the kids. Plenty of fruit and pancakes for breakfast They offer Soya Milk Water only in the evening Kids play area, we took the kids before and didn't have to pay, returned and a woman wanted to charge me 10marks per child for a hour. Not sure what I would be paying for as the soft play is small and no alot else to do. Hire shop at Vucko closes at 1600. If you have kids be mindful that this hotel you have to climb step to get to it from the ski lift. Vucko steps are awful and broken which is dangerous in snow boots. Shop in the hotel needs cash only. If you love Tea, bring some teabags to breakfast just incase you don't like the tea provided Recommend you bring snacks etc for your room. Be prepared to have the windows open it gets very hot in the room. Bring crocs/Flip-flops for going to the locker room on - 1, also if you have rented equipment, on arrival get your locker for your gear. Be prepared for the hotel to keep your passports (I really didn't like this) they also want to keep your driving licence when hiring things like sledges. Crystal Bookers Info! The bus stops near the hotel but not directly, you will have to lug your luggage. I would recommend you book your ski lessons local as alot of kids in one class, instructors going missing. They also can be late. Make sure you arrive on time as the instructor will just leave your kids to find you. Also it is okay to want to stay in the nursery slopes, speak up and tell the rep! The Blue Slopes are a bit much for a beginner. Especially being so busy. LOCAL AREA INFO Would recommend a hire place near the gondala as they are open till 2100 and you can leave them there not having to lug it all around. I would get cash out as the local area often prefer cash or the card machine isn't working. Sledging is a must for families, you can hire them in the rental shops Slightly to the back of Termeg Hotel is a blue run to the lifts, if your able to use jump on to save your legs Recommend Night Skiing practice for the kids in the area between the gondola and tbar lift. The woman in the toilets in the gondola area will try and charge you 1mk for a wee. But no signage anywhere. Recommend VUK for food, but be warned we had issues paying because of their card machine broken. Needing to pay using cash. No fresh food at airport arriving at 1530 when arrived to check in. Concidering the last meal really is at breakfast think ahead of lunch before getting the transfers

Rooms are in need of attention as they are a bit old, broken and dated. The electric above our door kept buzzing. Maintenance turned them off and on to get them to stop for a day but it had to be done daily. No kettle which is bad for us English Tea lovers. Our balcony was also cordoned off as it seemed to be crumbling to bits dn unsafe. The swimming pool was out of action for the season which was a bit annoying. Food was consistently cold which would not meet European food standards. No drinks with dinner other than water which is a bit tight on half board. Coffee machines at breakfast served all coffees the same, latte/mocha/cappuccino. When the food was warm it was OK though. Typically Bosnian food I would assume. The breakfast polenta was a little odd. The hotel bar was also a bit weird, kind of like a nightclub bar, full of 18yr olds or old Bosnian men smoking. Not the kind of place you can relax with your kids. Staff were helpful when required but never that friendly. WIFI was good.

bad service, unwilling to help, charge for air, everything is ridiculously expensive, only accommodation and food are included in the price and this is not highlighted in the offer, the rooms are only superficially cleaned, there are many broken things in the accommodation

I left my 2 years old kid in the playroom with a responsible personal and after a half an hour when i went to check him, a random parent was yelling at him to leave the toys, afterwards there was one more incident when my husband went to see what is the problem with the other father who was behaving inappropriately towards me and our 2 year old. He started yelling and threatening my husband, in the middle of the kids playground where innocent kids had to experience all of that. In the meantime i went to the main desk to inform them about the situation and no one came to resolve the problem. Very bad experience, ruined our stay there on the very last day. Very disappointed!!! despite every good thing during our stay there. Would never leave my kid alone again.

The rooms/hotel interior is very nice, modern, and elegant. The food is good and overall experience was satisfying. Only complaint from my side are hallways that can be like mazes sometimes, and also we didn't really have good (or any) heating, which was a bit problematic, because the weather was a bit cold outside. I'm guessing that the heating season hasn't started yet 😅

Stayed for a week skiing. First time in Jahorina and Bosnia. Skiing - the ski area is relatively small so if your used to the three valleys etc you may find it a bit limited. That being said the lifts are great and the gondola modern. The night skiing is a great addition. The runs can get crowded and its seems that the ski schools don't really stick to an area so you have to be adept at threading your way around slower skiers. Hotel - the food was plentiful and the staff were friendly even if the language barrier hampered us at times. My major gripe was the amount of smoking in the hotel. Smoking is obviously allowed indoors in Bosnia however the sheer amount of smoke lingering everywhere is very off putting for a non.smoker. You lcould barely breath in the bar and due to some freak in the engineering of the building and lack of proper fire doors on the apartment room the smoke seemed to poor into our room too. If you are a non smoker do not stay here is my advice.

Stayed for a week from the 5th March to the 11th March and went with Crystal Ski. The hotel is modern, so are the rooms which were clean and a lovely bed. We were half board, the food was really nice and lots of options. The locker room was downstairs and leads out to the front of the hotel which is a 2 min walk to the main gondola station. The hotel has a bar which is so smoky and unbearable to sit in, the staff were lovely though, we spent most our evenings in the Termag across the road which is lovely, but also has a separate building for having lunch when skiing and also holds very loud parties at night. In Bosnia you can smoke everywhere, so even when your eating people will smoke right next to you, but no smoking is permitted in the dining room of the hotel which is nice. Everything was going fine until Thursday when bus loads of 18 to 20 year olds turned up for Jahorina Ski Fest and it was late parties screaming and shouting inside and outside the hotel. The smell of smoke in our room at night increased and we found it very difficult to sleep as the heating was up high and you had to have the windows open but then it was like sleeping in a night club. No fire doors on the rooms so the smoke was flowing through the room. On check out they want 28 Bosnian Marks which is a city tax. This is a new resort so they haven’t caught up with other areas so don’t expect any decent apres ski, well suited for new skiers as not a large mountain. Most places will take card but the smaller businesses like cash. There are some shops inside of the Vucko but they want cash, the bar you can pay cash or card, The Termag you can pay by card in the shops and bars.

The Sauna is just as on the pictures but! If you are serious about going to the sauna there are a few very important things to know: the launge area smells like fish or kitchen, there is no normal shower just some fancy stalls where you cant control the water, you'll need to go back to the lockerroom to shower. There's no cold pool or at least a terrace to cool off. And worst of all you need to wear your wet swimwear at all times even in the sauna.

Went there for a week with family. Hotel had concerts every other night really loud and smelling like smoke. Drunk people n the hallways and ruckus in the rooms. We were coming back from the slopes at 8pm and there were **** security people like 20 of them at the main Entrance into hotel with metal detectors. Kids got terrified. They were also making nasty comments towards female guests. Hotel turns all the heat off except twice a day so you can never dry your clothes , boots , gloves after skiing. We called them once and rude guy came up and pretty much arrogantly yelled at us that after 8pm there is no heat and pretty much get used to it. And good luck getting dinner. We came with our children to eat and twice in 5 days they told us we are SOL as there is no dinner cause a concert prep is taking place in the main dinner hall. No warning , nothing . They tell you dinner hours when you check in but they cancel without notice. They told us there was parking but we had to park in a literal mud bath , yes half a foot deep mud in the construction zone behind the hotel. Pay a bit more and stay at termag hotel across the street. They have a game room , really nice one for kids vs drunken parties and broken poor “game room”they have heat and you can get rest. And you can have dinner every night. Maybe if you are 20 year old smoking party animal alcoholic you that doesn’t ski and doesn’t need to rest and dry clothes and with no kids you would be ok Terrible absolutely terrible
