Mega Permata Hotel

Wir haben auf der Durchreise vom Toba-Lake nach Bukittinggi im Oktober 2024 dort übernachtet. Ein erstes Zimmer haben wir nicht akzeptiert: ein fensterloses, muffiges und schäbiges Loch. Das 2. Zimmer war etwas weniger eklig, war aber sehr laut, da es an der sehr stark befahrenen und extrem lauten Durchfahrtsstraße liegt. Das Bad ist eklig und abgewirtschaftet. Aber: Das Frühstück dort war ausgesprochen gut und vielfältig!

A complicated night in this hotel. We had booked a room that we thought was a family room with two large double beds at a price of 40 euros per night, so compared to other accommodations we had no doubts. On arrival, two single beds for 4. After several discussions, we managed to change rooms and have a large double bed and an extrabed for an additional 20 euros. It will still take several exchanges with the reception to have a number of pillows and an extra duvet for the mattress on the floor. The room is very noisy although it does not overlook the street. Furthermore, we hear all the noise from the other rooms because all the rooms overlook an interior courtyard. Aging room, loose tapestry, once the bed is moved, it is not clean. On the other hand, the room staff is very nice. For us it will remain a very bad experience because 3 of us slept in a bed that was not very comfortable. Very poor value for money. At this price, we expected other comfort and I would like to point out that we are not traveling to luxurious places. Very disappointed with the service and the lack of commerciality even though the hotel was not full. We will manage not to pay for breakfast. For Europeans, there is just fruit and toast. Well stocked for local breakfasts but not tested.

Habitación sin ventana, sin ventilación natural, oscura y con obligado aire acondicionado. Solicité en recepción una habitación con ventana de manera reiterada e infructuosa. Ignoro si la adjudicación fue porque la reserva se realizó a través de la agencia de viajes francesa, con sede en París, denominada Explorator, y que desaconsejo totalmente. Su gestión del viaje por Sumatra fue del todo poco recomendable.
