Antico Sipario Boutique Hotel, BW Signature Collection is a new boutique hotel restored from an old medieval building in the centre of the historic village of Paciano. It is located just a few kilometres from Lake Trasimeno, on the border between Umbria and Tuscany.The building was a cultural centre and small theatre throughout the last century and now is a venue in which art and the theatre, in particular, play the role of a protagonist. Both the communal areas and the rooms are dedicated to the concept of ‘Theatre’ as defined in all its different expressions. All eight rooms with oak parquet flooring and exposed beams are different and yet meticulously designed down to the last detail. They all have wonderful views of the village or across the Umbrian-Tuscan countryside.There are no headboards for the beds but an entire wall that has been decorated with subjects or themes of a theatrical nature. The wonderful new beds have been chosen to guarantee guests a blissful night’s sleep. The bathrooms have been fitted out with great regard for comfort and spaciousness. Some rooms are equipped with a large shower and others with a whirlpool tub. We are respectful of the environment and sustainability through the use of olive oil-based detergents that are free of parabens.We wanted to facilitate access to all the communal areas such as the garden, the internal cloister that is lit up by sunlight and looks out over the walkways of the two floors, the conference room which has been created out of the former theatre, and most of all, the hall which has been turned into a reception room. There is a place for everyone here. Children can play on the multi-coloured carpet in the area that is designated for their use while guests can browse through the books in the well-stocked library. Una chicca di albergo in un piccolo borgo tranquillo e ben conservato. Claudio e il suo staff molto competente e cortese. Le camere curatissime. La colazione ricca e particolare. Il parcheggio a pochi metri dall'albergo. Tutto molto positivo da tornarci e da consigliare sicuramente

We had an amazing stay! Claudio and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The room was excellent, spacious and comfortable. La struttura è bellissima e curata nei minimi dettagli. Si viene accolti e coccolati dal personale dall'arrivo alla partenza. Pulizia delle stanze impeccabile. Colazione ottima a km 0, sia dolce sia salata, diversa ogni mattina. Inoltre c'è un parcheggio gratuito a pochi passi dall'hotel, situato nel centro del borgo, punto strategico per visitare questo luogo caratteristico di confine tra Umbria e Toscana. Un posto dove rilassarsi e ricaricarsi!

Antico Sipario is an excellent and very comfortable boutique hotel. The extremely friendly welcome and service from Claudio the owner were outstanding! The breakfast is excellent and there is a beautiful garden in which to relax. I look forward to returning soon. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Stayed at the hotel for the long weekend of April 25th. The structure is located in the village of Paciano, a very quiet place but from where you can reach various locations between Umbria and Tuscany in less than an hour. The hotel is very beautiful and the room (ours was n.1 "Teatro") quite spacious and with beautiful furnishings. The bathroom has both a shower and a hydromassage tub. The sweet and savory breakfast is excellent with high quality local and homemade products. The owner Claudio is always available to pamper guests and suggest places to visit. All the staff are friendly and professional. We will return since we already miss Umbria.

Experience above our expectations. Exemplary welcome, cleanliness and attention to detail at a level above the category. The structure is central and close to each of the three gates of the village of Paciano, so the free parking is also very convenient, reachable in less than a minute on foot. The rooms are themed, tastefully furnished and equipped with every comfort. The renovation appears recent and in any case everything is new, well cared for and of quality. The director and the staff are kind and helpful, you can sense the passion they have in running the facility. Breakfast is excellent and starts in a very special way: You can choose your own mug or cup from the many on display in various shapes and colours. On the other hand, the eye also wants its part. But as mentioned, in addition to the aesthetic factor, it is the substance that is not lacking and that makes the stay truly pleasant. Homemade desserts and artisanal jams complete the picture. Highly recommended, an excellent point of reference if you decide to stay in these parts. Paciano is a characteristic and very beautiful village. We will be back !!
