Stayed at Sunny Hotel in Cao Bang twice, once in summer 2022 and again in November 2023. There are many less expensive hotels in Cao Bang for backpackers, students, and the like, and two or three more expensive. If you want a clean room with a comfortable bed, a good shower, reliable air conditioning, an adequate simple breakfast, a very convenient location, and moderate price, Sunny is the place. A nice room for two runs around $33 US, and they have cheaper ones as well as more expensive. I have stayed in seven different hotels in Cao Bang over the past two decades. I’m done looking. Sticking with Sunny.
