Hotel Olecki

Easy and quick check-in, helpful staff. Literally across the road from the Auschwitz camp/museum. Very convenient. Free parking at the hotel. Good sized room and adequate bathroom. Was very clean and everything worked in the room. Good wifi. Buffet breakfast was good, and well stocked. Good choice of foods – limited hot food, but 2-3 choices of cereals, fruits, breads, cheese/meat, juices, etc. Restaurant is open all day and has very good food for dinner – we ate there both nights we stayed at this hotel – staff very friendly and helpful. Would happily recommend this hotel. Only complaint is that when booking this hotel online, although they quoted the price in PLN and said the payment would be taken from my credit card in PLN, they converted to Pounds sterling (my card's currency) and used a terrible rate. They denied it - but when we got to the hotel and they gave me the credit card slip, it clearly said they'd converted to GBP and that I'd been given the option of being charged in PLN or GBP and had chosen GBP. That is NOT TRUE - I'd asked to be charged in PLN, and they told me they had. Just beware of this trick (lots of businesses do it - because they can make extra money by converting at a really bad rate - i.e. bad for the customer, good for them!

Hotel in a very good location - to the Auschwitz museum you can get on foot in 25 minutes. Beside the hotel cheap parking is unguarded. Good breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms. + for iron in rooms

”Special place for you”, those where the exact words when we arrived there, with a 2 months in advance pre-booked parcel (blue zone) and 50% payment. We had arrived quite late and tired and didn't had the chance (and even consider a scam) to check the change of ”parcel” that they've made to us due to ”a competition on the lake and we are fully” (but ”fully” should included us, because WE HAVE PAYED IN ADVANCE AND HAD A RESERVATION). Keep in mind that we have booked and pay 50% (even if on their papers it's says that the parcels shouldn't be pay in advance, they still request to charge in advance), but enough with the words.. here are the photos. It was our first contact with Poland, as you can imagine how we've left the country :) Definitely NOT recommend the staff and services, very unprofessional, rigid and not customer oriented. To prevent any possible fake reply: We didn't had any refunds for the first night when we stayed in that ”jungle”. They just let us pick a parcel within the main camping following day when we get there with big complains forall of this, still finding excuses that there was a competition. Irreal.
Hotel Imperiale

I stayed in this hotel also due to its location which makes Hotel Imperiale an ideal point for cyclists starting the cycling adventure with Wiślańska Trasa Rowerowa. Hotel is also located in walkable distance fron Auschwitz so if this is one of your main reasons why you visited Oświęcim then you can't be closer. At the same time you're just 3 kms away from the City Centre & attractions such as the town hall, King's Castle, Jewish Museum-synagogue & boulevard. My room was tidy and neat, the bathroom clean and well stocked, there was a kettle, TV, tea & coffee – all any traveller could want! Air-condition works very well. The towels were thick and luxurious. The WIFI at this hotel is steady and fast. Menu is very rich and breakfast is real feast with variety of options to choose from (take a look on a pictures in the gallery). They have parking onsite. There is peace and quiet here, life goes much slower than in a city centre. Away from the hustle and bustle and everyday problems. You will find 13 pictures of the hotel in my gallery. I will be recommending Hotel Imperiale to anyone who is looking clean, comfortable and modern place to stay.
Hotel Galicja Wellness & Spa

Hotel is amazing. Good breakfast included with stay, but not much variety to choose from. Restaurant set up was a bit strange. Website lists 3 but there was only 1 location. Whatever you do DO NOT get a Thai massage! They use their full body weight and do not adjust the amount of pressure they use. I’m 5 ft 6 inches and 125 pounds (58 kg) the masseuse weighed more than I do. After less than 2 minutes I had to stop the massage because it was SO painful. I asked her to use less pressure and she just kept saying “traditional Thai massage is deep pressure” I ended up having to pay more money for a different massage instead of her just reducing the pressure she was using. See posted pictures of my husband’s back after his massage and my arm.
