Arriving after dark is a real wow feeling, with beautifully lit architecture of class and history. The view over Oslo is also breathtaking, the new lobby part is nicely interwoven and you are welcomed by service-friendly staff at the reception. When you find the room in the annexed part, it is more of the familiar Scandic standard, a bit frugal and sometimes it feels a bit stingy even though the price of the room was modest for being in Oslo. It's that extra cozy feeling you miss, an extra pillow, something beautiful in the interior, some luxurious toiletries.Restaurants offered attentive and alert service, then there was the lack of a little generosity again, very small portions and where we almost looked for the main ingredient.Breakfast served up to a swarm of conference guests, but it was still possible to find free seats. Most of what you could wish for was available for a hungry guest, but plus for bread, an omelette cake, and generously with toppings for the yogurt. Found a local element, "brown cheese", we won't say more about it. Some products also felt like it was a level up that was missing. But what we missed the most were staff who exude that it's fun to work here, it was a bit grim and it felt like you were taking part in a workplace where you deal with dissatisfaction on the floor. After all, the positive experience outweighs it.
