The hotel is connected to the Florida Mall and has direct access to the inside for easy shopping. The lobby is bright and the room is large. The room rate does not include a $18 service charge per night (including parking, gym, pool access, room mineral water, etc.), excluding breakfast, and Starbucks can be opened at 6 o'clock in the downstairs (there is a $2 discount for in-house guests). There is a huge parking lot at the door and parking is convenient. (There is no public transportation, it is recommended to drive by yourself.) The rooms are fully equipped and slightly old but do not affect the use. The only downside is that the air conditioner is not hot enough, or it may not be open.

I wish I had more nice things to say about our visit to Rosen Shingle Creek. Overall it was a nice stay, but little negatives piled up throughout, resulting in this average review. I brought my family along with me for a very large conference being held at the Orlando Convention Center, and the RSC was an official conference hotel, so many attendees were staying here. PROS . The staff! Overall, wonderful, friendly, engaging and responsive. Shout out to Heather and Mike at the Cat-Tails bar and poolside service. We had an Amazon Fresh order scheduled (there is a small fridge in the room) and the bell stand delivered it within 5 minutes of us requesting it. My mom and niece were also staying at the hotel, and the front desk attendant thoughtfully placed our rooms right next to each other. . Conference management. We had a great conference rate and the acknowledgment of our (significant) presence was thoughtful. Overall, the team was well prepared for several hundred attendees moving around the property. CONS . Rooms NOT that family friendly. I have a real issue with hotel bathroom designs that aren’t accessible for kids. I had to drag the ottoman into the bathroom area so my youngest could reach the sink. A huge leather ottoman in the bathroom is not ideal. . Substandard housekeeping. I asked for laundry bags from our service provider and was told they weren’t available. She pressured us out of our room one day saying she was trying to finish her shift early and upset my niece to the point of tears. Another morning, we had privacy lock and sign on and they were knocking at 8:30 to come in. It all felt very disconnected. . The Food. The biggest disappointment was that a resort this size, and a Universal Studios property, was such a let-down when it came to food. If you have any food allergy whatsoever, don’t stay here. The RSC makes little to no accommodation for food allergy or intolerance, which is very surprising in this day and age. My husband is celiac and other than FRENCH FRIES and VEGETABLES was extremely restricted in his food options. Only one restaurant was able to offer him gluten free bread for a burger. Food allergies are more and more common, it is unreasonable that RSC was lacking in its accommodations. In comparison to Disney properties where almost anything can be accommodated for food allergies, it was a glaring difference. Food options for children were also limited and unhealthy. After three days of eating cereal, French fries, and cardboard pizza, my kids were desperate for a freaking hot dog. None of the seven restaurants offered such a thing, but I was told they were available at the golf course snack stand. So I walk all the way out there to get three hot dogs and they were…sold out of hot dogs. Our Amazon Fresh delivery was a godsend, and there’s a Publix market at the end of the (very long) resort drive. . Universal partner means what?? This is not your normal Courtyard experience. First, there is no roadway signage and the signing the building is not illuminated making for a confusing evening arrival. I was woken up by drag racing on the street at 2:30 a.m. which ensued. I understand, this is not the fault of the hotel. I had a small group stay which was meant to be paid on the company card. I saw that one of my guest was charged on her personal card. I went down to the desk at 3 a.m. to sort this out as I feared my other guests would be charged early in the morning. I filled out all the required paperwork prior to arriving which could not be located. I then forwarded the signed copies that they had emailed me to the person on duty. Later in morning third person emailed me to fill out the said form after I had checked out. Truthfully, I am still not sure if it was squared away. I would have appreciated a sorry for the trouble but alas, nothing of the sort happened.

It seems that these units are individually owned. We chose this property because of the good reviews on VRBO and the location for our time at Universal Halloween Horror Nights. We arrived at 10:45 at night, walked around the villa and in the downstairs bed and bath there were dead cockroaches. We attempted to contact/text the host with the contact information on their welcome letter, there was no reply. We went through VRBO and were finally able to get a response. She asked for pictures and offered to move us to a different unit in the same building. Same unit means connected; we didn't feel comfortable with it. We had some trouble getting contact information from her, guessing vrbo was blocking it somehow since her email came over as all dashes (same thing that was showing on her welcome letter). It is now after midnight. The next morning at 9:09am, she sends an email that she will send pest control over that day. We had left the night before (actually very early Friday morning), found a place ½ hour away that would let us stay until Monday, I advised her of this and asked for a refund and she said “I don't think so. I replied to your message immediately after you sent it to me. and I offered you to switch your booking to an identical unit in the same building. We reserved this unit for your group since you booked it. We may be able to give you some discount for the first night stay due to the problem, but we cannot give you a full refund for your stay. Pest control service is ordered today for 109 to clean out the issue.” I forwarded her welcome letter to show it did not contain accurate information along with a copy of the initial text I sent. This whole time we were trying to enjoy our night at Halloween Horror Nights. No response until 9pm Friday night (almost a full 24 hours after our initial attempt of contact). “We have 10 townhome units in Vista Cay. I have many options for your group if you don't want to stay near 109. The email didn't go through because VRBO blocked it. However, you can call either one of the phones to notice us the problem.” On Saturday morning I reiterated that the contact information was faulty and that if she had offered another building on that Thursday night, we would have tried it. No response. I sent a follow up email on Tuesday after our return home and asked for her to work with us and at least reimburse over what we had budgeted for. That would have left her with about $600.00. She refused, she said she could give us credit for another stay. Really? That is a hard pass! I forwarded information to VRBO, they immediately closed the case and told me to go back to the host. Beware of unit 109 Vista Cay or the host named Rene Yan. Last time I will book with VRBO as well.

We stayed for 4 nights beginning on July4th. OUTSTANDING experience and would stay there again. First time stay and Ann Clarke, Guest Experience Expert, seized the day for us with great care and grace. As a long-time Bonvoy Rewards member I was upgraded to one of the best rooms we have experienced through Marriott. It was a Lake Front Suite which was very kind treatment for a business road warrior. Living Room and separate bedroom with two balconies. The 4th fireworks were spectacular and almost eye-level. They do them on Saturdays too. Next time! The grounds are immaculate. The rooms are spotless. The service is what you want from Ritz Carlton with everyone friendly and eager to help. My wife enjoyed a spa visit and I went to the gym for a great workout. The Ritz and JW are connected as two massive conference centers which added extra dining options so we didn't need to leave the resort. Massive corridors and more meeting rooms than we could count. For our needs we added the Club Lounge access which took the pressure off incidentals. Need food or drink? Head to the Club Lounge which is open all-day until 10 p.m. Food presentations throughout the day in a comfortable room with a balcony and nice view of Orlando. We also dined at Knife and Spoon which was a treat for an upscale dinner. Great food and service. All good. Finally we traded the hassle and expense of an ocean beach vacation for the Ritz Carlton pool. It was hot this week but the pool at RC is clean and spacious. Many chairs open. I hope the nearest beach and long-lines were fun? We had a great time here. Service was excellent there with lots of choices for drinks and food poolside. Overall this resort gets all 5 stars in my book. Have fun!

The hotel is very hygienic and the front desk is very warm. There is also a lake nearby, you can walk and run, there are also big shopping malls, breakfast is not bad. The only thing is that the credit card pre-authorization is very slow, I don’t know if it’s an individual case.

Come and rush to forget to take pictures and see the text. The overall environment of the hotel is good, consistent with the picture, the living is very comfortable, more suitable for self-driving, the hotel is relatively small, but the room is large and clean. Opposite the hotel is a lake with a nice view. The hotel has a gym and an outdoor swimming pool, which is experienced, small and clean, and there are children to play there. The hotel has its own breakfast, and it seems that a few hotels are still very rich, you can make waffle. The hotel has its own washing machine dryer, which can be used for direct payment with a credit card, as well as washing powder. Free orange water and lollipops are available at the front desk. There is a mall near the hotel, the distance is very close, and it takes about 12 minutes to walk. The 711 walk takes about 15-20 minutes. This road is very desolate. It is not recommended to walk at night. We didn't drive, we went to the amusement park to be lyft, about 25 knives to Disney, and about 10 knives to the universal resort. One of the places to eat nearby is the restaurant and food court in the mall, or take a taxi to eat around. We stayed in a Chinese restaurant called u&me for three days, really delicious, about 8 knives, recommended Everyone goes, there is milk tea next to it. Overall, the price is good and the hotel is very new.
