Overall, the hotel was nice and very near to MCO airport. Just about 10 minutes. The room is clean and lobby has many equipments like microwave and free coffee

Loved the ability to store my luggage before check in, and use the complimentary shuttle to visit Universal Studios during the day. Received complimentary warm cookies and bottled water at check in! Made the start of my stay at Double Tree great!

I wish I had more nice things to say about our visit to Rosen Shingle Creek. Overall it was a nice stay, but little negatives piled up throughout, resulting in this average review. I brought my family along with me for a very large conference being held at the Orlando Convention Center, and the RSC was an official conference hotel, so many attendees were staying here. PROS . The staff! Overall, wonderful, friendly, engaging and responsive. Shout out to Heather and Mike at the Cat-Tails bar and poolside service. We had an Amazon Fresh order scheduled (there is a small fridge in the room) and the bell stand delivered it within 5 minutes of us requesting it. My mom and niece were also staying at the hotel, and the front desk attendant thoughtfully placed our rooms right next to each other. . Conference management. We had a great conference rate and the acknowledgment of our (significant) presence was thoughtful. Overall, the team was well prepared for several hundred attendees moving around the property. CONS . Rooms NOT that family friendly. I have a real issue with hotel bathroom designs that aren’t accessible for kids. I had to drag the ottoman into the bathroom area so my youngest could reach the sink. A huge leather ottoman in the bathroom is not ideal. . Substandard housekeeping. I asked for laundry bags from our service provider and was told they weren’t available. She pressured us out of our room one day saying she was trying to finish her shift early and upset my niece to the point of tears. Another morning, we had privacy lock and sign on and they were knocking at 8:30 to come in. It all felt very disconnected. . The Food. The biggest disappointment was that a resort this size, and a Universal Studios property, was such a let-down when it came to food. If you have any food allergy whatsoever, don’t stay here. The RSC makes little to no accommodation for food allergy or intolerance, which is very surprising in this day and age. My husband is celiac and other than FRENCH FRIES and VEGETABLES was extremely restricted in his food options. Only one restaurant was able to offer him gluten free bread for a burger. Food allergies are more and more common, it is unreasonable that RSC was lacking in its accommodations. In comparison to Disney properties where almost anything can be accommodated for food allergies, it was a glaring difference. Food options for children were also limited and unhealthy. After three days of eating cereal, French fries, and cardboard pizza, my kids were desperate for a freaking hot dog. None of the seven restaurants offered such a thing, but I was told they were available at the golf course snack stand. So I walk all the way out there to get three hot dogs and they were…sold out of hot dogs. Our Amazon Fresh delivery was a godsend, and there’s a Publix market at the end of the (very long) resort drive. . Universal partner means what?? Stayed for three nights. I checked in late on the first day and couldn't see any pool view from the pool view room. There was noise in the room and it was not repaired at 2 am. Even if there is no mineral water, slippers, toothbrushes, etc., the main problem is that there is no quilt, so I can only ask them for a blanket like a bath towel, and the bed sheets are very frizzy. The good thing is that I changed rooms the next day and had a good view. Moreover, there are many bus trips to and from Universal, which is more convenient, and you can enter the park one hour early.

The service was okay but I've definitely had better. I didn't really get a warm and welcoming feeling when I was checking in or anything like that. Well at least not from the young lady that checked me in anyway. But the lady on the Morning shift had a great personality! The facility was fair but definitely nothing to brag about at all! This Hotel definitely needs some major upgrades. Specifically the beds, toliets, shower heads, tub, sink, let's just say the entire bathroom period! I really can't comment on the food because I didn't get an opportunity to even try it. I got there right at 9:30 and they had already put everything up. The room served its purpose for one night but I wouldn't be in any rush to go back there any time soon that's for sure!

The facility itself was good overall. There was no coffee maker or microwaves in the rooms. The breakfast was the same thing everyday. Other than that the location was great, there's a wawa across the street. A smokehouse pizzeria massage parlor.

I was a little nervous to stay here after recent reviews, I'm not sure if I was lucky with the room I got or if others look for more to complain about...but I could fault it. I have previously stayed at the Avanti Hotel but recent reviews there put me off staying. Yes the rooms are dated, most of these motel type hotels are, but the room was spotless which to me is the most important thing. We had taken some wipes to clean down surfaces etc just to be cautious but every wipe came up clean, top marks! Everything in the room worked as expected, fridge was good as was the microwave. Excellent location, we didn't use the pool but it looked good. Only slight issue was the Hurricane, the fire alarm went off twice as a false alarm...but these things happen. & there was some water leakage into the room from the door, which by our last day had caused a not very pleasant smell. But I'm not blaming the hotel for this & I assume they would have had a way to resolve this had we been staying longer & mentioned it! Our room was in block 3000, top floor facing the pool, no issues with noise - I doubt any room facing the pool would have an issue. Good view from the top floor too over to Volcano Bay. Happy to recommend the hotel for couples, families etc. I'd certainly be happy to stay here again for a future Orlando holiday!

My Husband and I stayed another night and also booked one more night . This place is so amazing and very clean. The maintenance guys are very fast. Are a/c went out and told them that morning and they got it fixed. The security guards here are so nice and on top of there game.. very safe here cause of them. The housekeepers are also good at there job. Very friendly and very fast in bring what you need for your next stay over even if it's something you need when you check in. I Love this place and we will be back and we will be bring are kids on are next trip back to Florida. I give them a 10. We will be back. I recommend this place.. It was such a good hotel for the cost. We thought because we were so close to the Disney/Universal parks that it would be very expensive or poor quality, but this hotel was very cheap and very good all around.

The Fairfield at Marriott Village is a great holiday. The location is so wonderful that regretfully, we did not have an opportunity to use the hotel amenities such as the pool etc. We did have breakfast daily, which had a good selection of hot items, breads and cereals. The Mickey Mouse pancakes were delicious. Our rooms were large and spacious, with great air conditioning, lovely hot showers and sufficient tv channels. The beds and rooms were very clean. It is very handy that there are washers and dryers and ice machines on every floor or every other floor. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the parks but we preferred to drive to be able to leave and return to the park, for necessary breaks in the height of the heat. Would happily stay there again. There are 2 other hotels on the property (Courtyard and Springhill). I imagine these are more upscale. I would have appreciated an offer to ”upgrade” at a nominal fee to experience.
