Hampton Inn & Suites Orange Beach/Gulf Front

I was double charged for 4 days of beach chair/umbrella rental which Hampton Inn validated but would not refund the charge. I paid $700 more to stay at this hotel than Sleep Inn because they had a hot tub but the hot tub was not working the last 3-4 days of trip. They have a nice pool and the rooms were clean. There was rust in bathtub and wallpaper and door of bathroom needs replaced from mildew.

While the staff was friendly at this location, I awoke after one night to find what appears to be a bedbug in my clothing within my suitcase (see pics below). My suitcase was on top of the second bed in the room. This Orange Beach location said their exterminator checked the room (removing headboards, etc.) and did not find any bedbugs after I left. They refused to refund the room costs. I shared the picture of the bug with them (at checkout and via email after) but they did not respond. The first call to Hilton guest assistance resulting in someone named Janice disconnecting my call (she heard trouble and decided to hang up). I again called Hilton guest assistance and was told that the Hilton brand did NOT offer any coordination/refund/response/standard to incidents with bedbugs. The Hilton brand said it was up to the individual location to determine how to handle incidents. Why is there even a Hilton brand if it is managed by individual hotels? I am treating all of my luggage per protocols, but I am very disappointed in the level of customer service from the Hilton brand. I am still in the process of cleaning clothes, and thus far, only one bug has been found. Perhaps there had been an issue, and I was the lucky winner of one of the remaining bugs...

We arrived in Orange Beach one night early so we stayed the night here while waiting to get into our condo for the rest of the vacay. We were pleasantly surprised with this Hampton Inn. The hotel is beachfront and it is a nice beach. The hotel has a nice size pool as well. Our room was clean and smelled fresh. The breakfast was good and the staff were polite. We have no complaints at all.

It was great ! This is a top notch hotel .D'Andre was the first person we met . Such a great person always smiling and a pleasant word , then Liz, Sasha and the bar tender I could talk about all day . Your hotel will be our go to place from now on . Keep up the great work

The location was great!! Beach access great!! Room was good!! Had major issues with card readers not working. If you park on 3rd level cannot get back in due to card reader. Pool area card reader also not working. Breakfast was good. Trouble with housekeeping not bringing towels.

An awesome weekend trip with my wife! Make up date for our Anniversary! Ate at Lambert’s in Foley for dinner. The a sunset on the beach. The next morning was a sunrise on the beach! Finally we had brunch at Another Broken Egg Cafe! Delicious breakfast enjoyed!

Real comfortable place to stay in the beach. Great views. Parking is free but a little crowded. GREAT breakfast included.

Check in was very slow, no one was at the desk. After 15 minutes two people come from behind the wall and check us in. No apology or thanks for waiting. Our room was not what I had reserved but after checking my reservation I saw that somehow the room changed so we accepted that. Dogs in the room next door and down the hallway on our first evening were absolutely a nightmare! They were loud and would not shut up! We called the desk twice and they simply stated we have made attempts to contact the owners. There were dogs all over the breakfast dining area. We were beginning to think we had checked into a pet spa! I wish there was an easy way to filter hotels to only show me properties where pets are NOT allowed! The location is great but beyond that this is a typical 3 star hilton property
