Six Senses Laamu

February was the second consecutive year when we decided to spend our vacation at Six Senses Laamu. Very rarely we go to the same place twice but this is not a regular place. If you are looking for a place where you can truly disconnect and enjoy relaxation at the highest level then there is no other solution. To return and most of the people to recognize you and even know your name is unique. Their "Guest Experience Maker" group where they have a person dedicated to each family is making you feel very appreciated as a guest at Six Senses. Personal THANK YOU to Ali Thohir who made our vacation AMAZING.

A most outstanding resort where the service was exceptional. What makes this place so special is that all the staff are so happy and clearly love what they do, and their genuine kindness shines through. A massive thank you to our GEM Shah who was truly amazing and made our holiday so easy with organising all our dinner reservations and booking all our trips. His kindness and happiness throughout was so welcome and made such a difference to our holiday experience. Nick was wonderful at Sip Sip Bar and at the Leaf Restaurant and looked after us all very well every day. Ziyan at Zen Restaurant was excellent too. The restaurants and food were all excellent, our favourite being the Lobster Dinner on the beach which was just outstanding and very special. There were so many special moments and moments to cherish which will remain with us forever. We very much hope to be able to return to this beautiful place very soon!

This is our first time visiting the Maldives. We chose Six Senses Laamu as the resort island for our initial vacation experience among many islands, and Laamu provided us with a great experience. Although it rained all afternoon on the day we arrived, it was pleasantly surprising that the hotel upgraded us to a room with a private pool for free. The whole island is quite large, yet it only has about 100 accommodations. Cycling around the island made us feel extremely relaxed and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We would greet each other whenever we met on the way. Our butler, Riq, is extremely kind. My English is not very good, and I sometimes have to use a translation app. However, Riq is very patient. Moreover, our requests, such as adjusting dinner arrangements and changing the size of the bicycle, could always get proper responses. We're really grateful to Riq. There are many dining options, and there are also buffets with various themes. My favorite is the organic restaurant, Leaf. The food there is of very high quality, and the dining environment is also quite unique. The free ice cream that starts serving at noon is also delicious. The snorkeling environment in Laamu is excellent. I saw several sea turtles at the house reef, and in the evening, when we went out to sea, we saw a lot of dolphins. My mother and I spent a wonderful six days and five nights in Laamu. The only regret is that we didn't have the opportunity to take the seaplane with a sea turtle pattern on it.

My wife and I had the most incredible stay at Laamu in Feb 2025. Laamu is a magical place, from the moment you remove your shoes in the boat transfer from the seaplane to putting them back on on your way home. The island itself and the reefs and crystal clear waters around it are stunning, the villas beautifully and tastefully designed, the restaurants many and varied and the food fantastic (we'd recommend trying the Sunken Table and the Maldivian menu cooked by chef Isse, amongst many others). There's lots to do, if that's what you want, from snorkelling, to diving (great house reef, very professional diving setup and team, Kush a wonderful dive instructor), to surfing (Brooke and Angus great), to windsurfing, kitesurfing, stand up paddleboarding and seabobs. But it's also the friendly and helpful staff which make the experience. Our GEM, Shah, was wonderful as our point of contact throughout our stay, and always available for any requests or help with a smile and a wave. We have amazing memories of Laamu and the people there - go, you won't regret it.

Our tenth visit and it just gets better. Excellent resort. The attention to detail is incredible. Everything you could wish for is there. We mainly go for the scuba diving The attention paid to the environment and the care of the ocean is exemplary.

Amazing homemade ice cream and sorbet on demand with 40 or more flaws, Riq the experience manager incredible / super thoughtful and attentive. Barefoot experience the whole trip made it very relaxing. Diving and house snorkeling reef exceptional
