Oldbury Hotels with Bars

I am very disappointed with my stay at this Premier Inn. I always chose to stay with Premier Inn for a short stay as I truly believe they are the best value for money however they did not live up to their reputation on this occasion. Check Inn went smoothly where I was greeted by a lovely receptionist. Upon entering my room I was immediately hit with an unpleasant smell; liken to the smell of damp. I was not impressed. I was hoping to do some work on this stay so had my laptop and needed to connect to the Wi-Fi however the signal was not strong enough to even connect in the room and could only gain connection in the reception area. The hotel was clearly short staffed as on every occasion I went to reception there was no one there or had to wait at least 10minutes for someone to see to me. This included check out where I wanted to speak to someone but after 10 minutes of waiting I just left my room key on the counter and left. I was most displeased when on my final morning I had a letter put under my door to inform me that breakfast would be unavailable due to a problem with the kitchen. Although I was told I would be refunded, this is beside the point. Never have I ever been to a hotel where I cannot get breakfast nor an alternative be offered. So inconvenient and not what I expect. The hotel is run down; I noticed dirty stairs and corridors. It is in desperate need of modernisation something as simple as a USB socket would make all the difference. To not have access to working wifi in the room is major. For a hotel with such a good reputation this location is truly letting you down.
