Hotels Near TLC Garden Centers in Oklahoma City

This is a pleasant, well-maintained property that delivers an experience consistent with what you would expect from Holiday Inn Express. Most importantly, the room was clean and comfortable, and everything was in working order. Common areas were well-kept and inviting. Front desk personnel were friendly. I inquired about a late checkout and was cheerfully offered a 2 PM checkout, which I appreciated (things like that are remembered). Parking (self-parking) is $15 per night, with in-and-out privileges. That seems reasonable for an urban hotel near the heart of a medium-sized city. The parking is in an outdoor lot behind the hotel, with access controlled by your room key activating a swing arm (a swing arm also guards the lot exit, but it lifts automatically; no key card is required to lift it). Hotel guests may keep their cars in the lot during the afternoon after checkout provided they do not leave the lot and attempt to re-enter the lot. The ”Bricktown” development (seemingly Oklahoma City's attempt to replicate the San Antonio River Walk) is a short 2-block walk from the hotel. A stroll along the canal is a nice experience. The complimentary breakfast was standard Holiday Inn Express fare, with staff doing a nice job keeping hot items restocked. Hot items included a pancake machine, freshly made oatmeal, sausage links, potatoes, and pre-fab cheese ”omelets”. The fitness center is fairly run-of-the-mill for mid-tier lodging, with two treadmills, an elliptical machine, a bike, a weight machine, some dumbbells, medicine balls, and a weight bench. I appreciate that the room had a microwave and dorm-sized refrigerator. A couple of small nits: (1) The fitness center had music coming through speakers in the ceiling, and it was loud. When standing on the elliptical machine, the speaker was within a short distance of my head. Hey hotel: it's 2024; people generally bring their own audio entertainment to their workouts. (2) While I appreciated the late (2 PM) checkout, I did find myself locked out of my room at 1 PM so had to go back down to the desk to get the key reauthorized. Overall, however, I would recommend this property and would stay again were my travels take me to downtown OK City.

My husband and I stayed here for one night on a cross country drive with our two pups. The hotel is beautiful and modern. It is converted from an old Ford Model T assembly plant so the whole hotel is open and spacious. We loved the artwork. The room is large, new, and very clean. My only complaint is that the room is very dark. Even with every lamp/light turned on, the room was still very dim. I can’t speak to any of the amenities as we arrive late and left early the next morning.

Please keep in mind I have NEVER had to complain about any hotel stay ever this far in life. While in town for a concert, my brother and I stayed here for two nights. The afternoon following the first night, my brother noticed red raised itchy bumps all over the back of his legs. We assumed they could only be from the hotel, as we only left one time since checking in to get food. After looking up pictures of bed bug/ flea bites we confirmed that there was no other option of what they could have been. When checking out, we showed the receptionist the pictures of his legs as well as our disgusting molded/ brown duvet inserts. They reacted very quickly and asked for no additional information as they quickly said they would comp one of the nights. Which made us assume this might be a frequent problem due to their reaction. They later told us to send in the pictures and they would get back to us on comping the second night. We were then rushed to end the conversation and leave the hotel. When I called in today to check on the status of our refund, I was told that they sent someone out to test the room for bed bugs and it came back negative. We received no call with an update and were told that we would no longer be getting the second night comped after it was promised. This situation was handled extremely terrible by staff and my brother is still having major issues with his bites days later. We also had the maid service knock on our door three times, once at 8am, 9am, and 10am before checking out at 11am (1 HOUR BEFORE REQUIRED CHECK OUT TIME) Will never be returning to this Sheraton or staying at another one ever again. The valet service was excellent and a blessing in the heat. Also, everything is closeby so there is not much driving or traffic to hassele your stay. . We were missing a hairdryer but the front desk was prompt to deliver one to our room.

Hotel staff were very accommodating and kind. They even recommended places to go to/activities to do.

Nice place and close to Bricktown, making it convenient to find restaurants or walking around. The hotel is well-maintained, clean rooms and modern finishes that contribute to a nice atmosphere. I was impressed with the staff; they were friendly and accommodating, check-in was a smooth process and being readily available to assist with any inquiries. Definitely worth staying here again next time I'm in OKC

The environment is good, but the alarm at night is ringing, affecting sleep.

Very convenient hotel, the hotel is located in a convenient neighborhood, next door is a large Mexican restaurant, opposite McDonald's, next to two gas stations. Close to high speed, three or four minutes drive from Kentucky fast food, and seven minutes from Chinese cafeteria. Very close to the shopping center, three minutes drive from Sam's Club. The hotel's breakfast is full, and the room has plenty of hot water and heating. We stayed several times because the hotel was very convenient for life and parking. The hotel staff is amiable and responsive. Also, the hotel is very cost-effective, less than $50/night, very affordable. Highly recommend to friends with cars to stay at this hotel!

The hotels general manager, Patel, made everything from checking in to checking out miserable. I work for Marriott. I know that the Marriott standard is to treat every guest like family. The goal is to make people want to come back. Her customer service skills are subpar, and if she doesn’t know how to treat another Marriott employee and their family, who showed nothing but kindness, I hate to think how she treats her employees that shes’s actually in charge of. Based on what I hear, it’s not well. The front desk employee, Liz, runs the place like a well oiled machine and should replace Patel immediately. She treats everyone who walks in the door like her best friend. She is the only reason I didn’t take my money elsewhere. And there are PLENTY of hotels within 5 miles of that place. As for the hotel itself, there’s not much to complain about. The hotel is clean and quiet. Breakfast is adequate. The rooms seem to be kept up. It’s probably the only reason, that and Liz, that people stay there. When you manage a hotel, you need to always keep in mind your guests are there for a variety of reasons. I had a sudden death in the family and had to fly home for a funeral. The last thing I needed to worry about was management treating my family members checking in with disrespect. And the last thing any of us needed at such a sensitive time was front desk staff taking out their lack of customer service skills on us. You never know what people are going through. Being nice to paying guests, and greeting them with a smile isn’t hard to do. The general manger could really use some training on how to run a hotel and to gain some people skills. She’s obviously miserable and you can clearly see on the faces of the employees that her lack of enthusiasm for the people who stay there is wearing thin the tolerance the staff has for the guests and their needs. It’s only a matter of time before people take their money elsewhere.
