Hotels Near Britton Christian Church in Oklahoma City

My husband and I stayed here for one night on a cross country drive with our two pups. The hotel is beautiful and modern. It is converted from an old Ford Model T assembly plant so the whole hotel is open and spacious. We loved the artwork. The room is large, new, and very clean. My only complaint is that the room is very dark. Even with every lamp/light turned on, the room was still very dim. I can’t speak to any of the amenities as we arrive late and left early the next morning.

This is a pleasant, well-maintained property that delivers an experience consistent with what you would expect from Holiday Inn Express. Most importantly, the room was clean and comfortable, and everything was in working order. Common areas were well-kept and inviting. Front desk personnel were friendly. I inquired about a late checkout and was cheerfully offered a 2 PM checkout, which I appreciated (things like that are remembered). Parking (self-parking) is $15 per night, with in-and-out privileges. That seems reasonable for an urban hotel near the heart of a medium-sized city. The parking is in an outdoor lot behind the hotel, with access controlled by your room key activating a swing arm (a swing arm also guards the lot exit, but it lifts automatically; no key card is required to lift it). Hotel guests may keep their cars in the lot during the afternoon after checkout provided they do not leave the lot and attempt to re-enter the lot. The ”Bricktown” development (seemingly Oklahoma City's attempt to replicate the San Antonio River Walk) is a short 2-block walk from the hotel. A stroll along the canal is a nice experience. The complimentary breakfast was standard Holiday Inn Express fare, with staff doing a nice job keeping hot items restocked. Hot items included a pancake machine, freshly made oatmeal, sausage links, potatoes, and pre-fab cheese ”omelets”. The fitness center is fairly run-of-the-mill for mid-tier lodging, with two treadmills, an elliptical machine, a bike, a weight machine, some dumbbells, medicine balls, and a weight bench. I appreciate that the room had a microwave and dorm-sized refrigerator. A couple of small nits: (1) The fitness center had music coming through speakers in the ceiling, and it was loud. When standing on the elliptical machine, the speaker was within a short distance of my head. Hey hotel: it's 2024; people generally bring their own audio entertainment to their workouts. (2) While I appreciated the late (2 PM) checkout, I did find myself locked out of my room at 1 PM so had to go back down to the desk to get the key reauthorized. Overall, however, I would recommend this property and would stay again were my travels take me to downtown OK City.

Please keep in mind I have NEVER had to complain about any hotel stay ever this far in life. While in town for a concert, my brother and I stayed here for two nights. The afternoon following the first night, my brother noticed red raised itchy bumps all over the back of his legs. We assumed they could only be from the hotel, as we only left one time since checking in to get food. After looking up pictures of bed bug/ flea bites we confirmed that there was no other option of what they could have been. When checking out, we showed the receptionist the pictures of his legs as well as our disgusting molded/ brown duvet inserts. They reacted very quickly and asked for no additional information as they quickly said they would comp one of the nights. Which made us assume this might be a frequent problem due to their reaction. They later told us to send in the pictures and they would get back to us on comping the second night. We were then rushed to end the conversation and leave the hotel. When I called in today to check on the status of our refund, I was told that they sent someone out to test the room for bed bugs and it came back negative. We received no call with an update and were told that we would no longer be getting the second night comped after it was promised. This situation was handled extremely terrible by staff and my brother is still having major issues with his bites days later. We also had the maid service knock on our door three times, once at 8am, 9am, and 10am before checking out at 11am (1 HOUR BEFORE REQUIRED CHECK OUT TIME) Will never be returning to this Sheraton or staying at another one ever again. Simply incredible experience. From the moment at check in to check out this was a 5 star experience. I was travelling solo to visit family about 20 minutes away and the staff happily helped me find my new favorite coffee shop, as well as great places to chill out for a meal and a cocktail that were friendly on my wallet with the vibes I needed. The car/shuttle service was on point and was offered before I even had to ask once I knew the direction I was headed. I got a king corner room and it was amazing in itself. Great views, comfy bed and after the cleaning staff made the bed they put my book back on the bed with the page opened to where I had left it. Nice touch!! My only regret here was that I didn't get the names of the guys working the counter and the drivers. You were all amazing - thank you. I will be back.

The valet service was excellent and a blessing in the heat. Also, everything is closeby so there is not much driving or traffic to hassele your stay. . We were missing a hairdryer but the front desk was prompt to deliver one to our room.

Hotel staff were very accommodating and kind. They even recommended places to go to/activities to do.

This hotel delivered much more than we were expecting. Everyone was very kind, the rooms were lovely, and they even have long-term studio type rooms with a kitchen! We didn’t have time for the pool, but it was much bigger than most and looks really clean. The breakfast was amazing (it’s been so long since we’ve gotten hotel waffles lol) and they have complimentary coffee and tea out the entire day.

Put my mom up in this hotel after a very long day and a cancelled flight (thank you Frontier airlines). The gentleman at the front desk was SO helpful and accommodating and really made her stay (I wish I had gotten his name)! 10/10 for customer service.

I agree with the previous reviewer in that the photos on the website didn't look like the hotel we arrived at. It was older than the photos. I guess I should have had a clue when I knew they didn't have an elevator. Our checkin went smooth and quick and the front desk people were friendly. Room was a good size and clean but older. It did have a closed up smell. We did have a tornado warning on the first night we were there. Never being in a warning before, we called the front desk and he told us to come to the first floor hallway and stay away from the window. Well, we stood in the hallway for the first 30 minutes and after it was extended and additional 30 minutes, I went and got chairs from the breakfast area to sit in while we waited. The breakfast was your average contential breakfast. This hotel was close to what we did in the area but probably our least favorite on our 11 day trip. If I was in the area again, I would stay elsewhere.

Will never stay again. The layout of our suite was terrible. Our king bed faced directly into the bathroom. The sliding barn door to the bathroom was slightly opaque when closed but clearly forms and light shown through. When the door is open we looked DIRECTLY at the sink, mirror and countertop from our bed. The TV was placed to the side of the bathroom barn door and was made to swivel between the bed and the sitting area. The AC blew directly onto the bed and we had to cover it with towels not to be frozen and uncomfortable. The room was clean and quiet. But not a choice for us again.
