The Abidah by Accra - Adults Only

Our first time in Barbados and to the Abidah but it will not be our last. We went with open minds, knowing the hotel was very small with no entertainment and just one restaurant - we absolutely loved it. Five star service - such lovely people and excellent food. My husband is celiac and the Chefs went above and beyond to make sure he was catered for - we both ate very well with a great selection of food and excellent quality. Really large rooms, so clean and very comfortable bed. Whilst there was no live entertainment in the evening, there was music playing and two sports screens and great cocktails. Because of this everyone tended to sit together in the evening and we made some great friends there. Beach is just over a small road and a lovely beach (choppy sea!). The pool is small and sometimes we had it to ourselves which was lovely - this is the only improvement I would highlight - it could be made to look a little better and the sunbeds are not very comfortable, but we spent great days relaxing by the pool. The staff are one of the key things which make this hotel 5 star - everyone without exception was approachable, friendly and could not do enough to help you. There are some in particular I would like to mention who truly made our holiday special, and we really enjoyed spending time with, in particular Julius in the restaurant and bar, Jacobi and Tre on cocktails/bar and Neal the Restaurant/Bar Manager. We spent some great days/evenings with them laughing. Not to forget Christina, Sharon, Ishaka and Shemaiah in the restaurant, and a special thanks to Leo the Chef for looking after my husband.

Just returned after staying for 7 nights. We can’t compliment it enough. The staff were very polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and the chef came out to say hello most nights. The cocktails were great, especially the Cocoa Kiss! The shuttle to their sister hotel was a bonus, we went a couple of times, their pool scene was lovely and right on the beach. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending to anyone.

Just returned home from a10 night stay and had a lovely time. Most of the staff were happy friendly and professional We found the pool area to be a bit tatty sunbeds grubby shower not working properly and pool looked a bit grimy on some days so we preferred the beach although beware some days are more choppy than others and beach shoes recommended. Great to chat and get to know other residents due to size of hotel Food was good on the whole and apparently accommodating for allergies ect Room was lovely and kept clean by brilliant housekeeping. Efficient replacement of broken toilet seat . Hot tub not my cup of tea and didn’t seem to be working properly! Great views from balcony at the front

This was a great experience in a small all inc based hotel. The staff were always very friendly and helpful no mater what. The rooms were excellent, very clean and spacious, with the addition of a hot tub on the balcony. The food was good with enough variation to suit mostly everyone. Drinks were good and the cocktails in particular from the bar were superb and served up by friendly staff, in particular Tre and Andreas. The pool was small but with enough loungers for most days, but the hotel provided loungers to the beautiful beach on request, which was directly opposite. What an experience, enhanced by drinks being delivered to you by staff. We had a great time, the location is spot on and the island is absolutely stunning. We will be back

Lovely stay at this small friendly hotel. Food quality varied and is excellent quality every day . All inclusive drinks are plentiful and perfectly adequate with excellent cocktails.Nice refreshing pool.Takes seconds to walk to the beautiful beach where sun beds and umbrellas are provided by the hotel.Nice to be able to chill out without having hotel entertainment pushed onto guests. Take an extra book and enjoy your relaxing holiday.Hire a car or book a trip and explore the island .Its well worth it with many wonderful and interesting things to see. Pleasant air conditioned taxi trip to and from the hotel which is very accessible from the airport ( 20 mins). Recommend for a nice relaxing holiday. If constant entertainment is required then best to research other beach resort hotels in other countries.

Amazing experience at Abidah hotel Barbados. The food was divine, the head chef Leo was so accommodating as were all the staff. They catered well for allergies and requests. Cannot recommend enough, it was sublime. The rooms were large and spacious with great air conditioning. The bar had fantastic cocktails and the bartenders were so good at catering - the little things like remembering your drink order and names. Location was right on a beautiful beach, and right next to Oistins. Book a stay at this fantastic hotel and you won’t be disappointed!

This gorgeous boutique hotel is positioned right opposite one of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados It is called Miami/Enterprise beach The hotel itself is immaculate in its presentation and service We stayed for the day with an all inclusive day pass and it was relaxing and enjoyable We had lunch which was truly beautiful and presented immaculately with very attentive staff Dessert was a beautiful cake for our 21st wedding anniversary presented decoratively on a plate and a glass of bubbles The cocktails were fabulous and we were spoilt for choice We relaxed around the quiet pool area and took in the breathtaking views Although we haven’t stayed at this hotel we have looked around and it’s very impressive and the accommodation looks classy and a wonderful jacuzzi on the balcony What more could you want An exceptional hotel

What a nice place. Food was great. Leo and this team definitely know what they are doing in the kitchen. Everything we ate was of high quality, well presented and delightful. As locals we were pleased to be served and made to feel extra special by Neil, Julius, Ishaka and Ebony. Point to note is that the staff need to upsell the premium brands that you pay a supplement for. Rather than just giving only the house brands. My husband only drinks 2 kinds of whiskey and could not enjoy any liquor except the poor quality wine and amaretto sours I made him enjoy with me. It was only after lunch on our very last day that we found out there was indeed one of the brands he likes. We would have easily paid for those shots during out stay if we were given the option. The room was, as others said, spacious and comfortable. The added touch of the jacuzzi on the balcony makes this property unique. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping it clean and well stocked. Strangely, during the night, the bedside lamps and the light in the ceiling fan would continually have a low glow though they were turned off. When we stayed there was little to no service beachside or poolside. Not sure of it was a challenge for that particular period, but it would have been nice to not have to dry up a bit and throw on a wrap to walk back to the bar to get something refreshing. Overall it's a great place and we hope to visit again.

Beautiful hotel in a peaceful location right by the beach. The staff are amazing, very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and would thoroughly recommend. The hotel is right by Miami Beach and there is an underground car park making it easy to have a rental car on the premises to use.
