Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ogallala

From the moment we walked in, the lady at the front desk was standing there ready for us. She was friendly and immediately acknowledged our member status and offered an upgrade and welcome amenity without even asking!! That never happens! It was happy hour, which meant they were offering free wine, beer, chips and salsa. We’ve never seen this and we travel a LOT. The room was incredibly clean! When we walked in, we smelled nothing!!! No overpowering smell of cleaning supplies or nastiness like mold or sheets that were in the washer days too long. The floors looked like new carpet, they didn’t look or seem dingy or nasty, the sheets didn’t smell like anything and felt crisp and clean. All the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and hand soap were filled. And there was a pen. Do you know how many times I’ve needed a pen and the room didn’t have one?! This one did. I highly recommend this location!! Great job HIE&S Ogallala!! Keep doing what you’re doing!! We’ve added to our list to revisit!!

This hotel met the standards I have for this chain. Hotel and rooms were clean and fresh. My room had a very nice shower and was spacious. I had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was hot and well attended. Staff was pleasant. If you need a place to stay when driving across Wyoming or Nebraska you cannot go wrong staying here.

We stayed here for one night on a road trip to Colorado. It is very conveniently located just off the interstate. Check-in and check-out both were quick and easy and all the staff we interacted with were friendly. They gave us the suggestion of heading to Driftwood for dinner at night, which turned out to be a great restaurant. Breakfast is pretty basic but free! Cheese "omelettes," sausage, cereal, muffins, yogurt, etc. when we stayed. I would definitely stay here again if I find myself in Ogallala.

We stayed here two years ago and it was great! Don’t know what happened since then. Bed was OK, but pillows were long and bulky and not soft. Towels were like sand paper, especially the face cloths. Our total bill for two night (Fri and Sat) was $492, but the hotel did not make up our room or leave clean towels. Cleanliness of public areas was lacking, which made me question how sanitary our room actually was. Will not stay here again.

Great stop. Clean and comfortable room. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was great. The gal working in that area did a great job to keep things clean and well stocked even on a busy Sunday morning. They have an indoor pool which is nice to stretch after a long day in the car.

Comfortable stay in Ogallala. Large, well maintained room. A couple places within walking distance to eat. Were told at check-in that they were hosting kids for a volleyball tournament. Turned out not to be an issue regarding noise but the person serving the breakfast struggled to keep the area supplied. Have stayed here before and would stay again.

We were recently traveling across Nebraska during a snowstorm when they closed Interstate 80. Since we didn't know how long it would be closed and were ready to be done driving in that kind of weather, we decided to book a room for the night. We arrived in person at this hotel without a reservation and were able to get rooms for the night. The staff was spectacular. They were professional and friendly when we were checking in. Later that afternoon, we were hanging out in the lobby and observed staff remaining professional and friendly during nonstop phone calls and several walk-ins seeking rooms (in a now-full hotel). It was quite impressive to see them remain calm, cool, and collected during a trying afternoon. The hotel itself is great. They had recently laid brand new carpet in several areas in the hotel. Our room was quiet, clean and very comfortable. The lobby areas were well maintained and provided a great place to socialize with other stranded travelers. That evening, they had a manager's reception with drinks and appetizers, which as fantastic. The breakfast the next morning was delicious with plenty of selections. So in summary, while we did not intend to stay here, we had a fabulous stay. We definitely would stay here again when in Ogallala.

New hotel, so it was clean and comfortable updated Will stay here again. breakfast buffet was pretty good and taste great. be careful about your times two to Mountain and Central happens in that area so prepare yourself.

We enjoyed our stay here on a road trip. Staff was really kind, lobby and our room was spotless. Shower was roomy and water was hot! They offered complimentary chips, beer and wine in the evening (on a Tuesday night), and it was good beer and wine :). We didn’t eat breakfast but it looked decent. Super impressed for the value!
