Staff is friendly and greets you with a warm welcome. The property itself is well kept. The rooms are comfy.

Great location. 5 min to the beach. Late night food options within 2-5 minutes. Hot water, decent water pressure. Updated rooms, will stay again in the future.

I arrived late but customer service is really good very friendly the rooms are clean I just didn't like they had a refrigerator but no microwave so it was a point of having a refrigerator if there's not a microwave inside the room other than that it was it was good it was quiet

- stayed 4 nights and never had room service. Garbages over flowed. - a room for 4 only had 3 towels, they never came to give new towels, we had to ask for them - bed sheets were stained and didn’t appear washed from previous people - sink wouldn’t drain - no fan in bathroom - we had two rooms, one had a microwave and one didn’t - non smoking rooms but smokers hung out by doors each night and smoked - vending machine room is locked tell 9AM each day with no key access… people who need this are usually up early and gone before then - the linoleum floors felt so gross we had to wear shoes the entire time in doors - toilet paper is so thin is felt like the same stuff RV’s use - phone didn’t work. I needed that to call the front office to ask for towels… Yes, we got the cheapest place we could find in the area but there are some things you would expect better, even from the cheapest places. Would highly recommend NOT staying here. If you have to pay a little more, it’s worth it.

I am the caregiver for my 75 y/o disabled mother and my 80 y/o ailing father. On 8/5, they became stranded in Oceanside without me or a place to stay. Motel 6 was the only hotel with an available room at the last minute and they very clearly took advantage of this by quoting me an outrageous $350 for a few hours’ stay. I spoke to a representative at Motel 6 whose name I unfortunately did not get. I explained the situation and was very specific about the fact that the people who needed a room were elderly and stranded without their caregiver (me). The rep assured me that they could accommodate my parents. I asked if he needed a name or any information from me to hold the room but he repeatedly refused, stating that they could just come in and Motel 6 would take care of them. About an hour later, I called my mother to check in and she was in tears and told me that they wanted to now charge my parents $450 for a ground floor room as my mother cannot climb stairs. Again, Motel 6 taking advantage of the situation and an elderly handicapped woman. Just disgusting. I asked my mother to hand the phone to the rep that I had previously spoken to. He was very rude and kept cutting me off as I tried to reason with him. He finally agreed to give my parents a second floor room for $300 and then hung up on me. This was in no way satisfactory as, again, my mother cannot climb stairs and the property does not have an elevator. At this point, it was late, my poor parents were exhausted and upset so they just took the second floor room. Nobody at Motel 6 offered any kind of assistance to get my mother up the stairs. My parents ended up getting assistance from other guests at the hotel. I emailed customer service and they responded with some canned, automated response email and did nothing to rectify the situation. I will never stay at a motel 6 ever again.
