Since we were only staying one night, I wasn’t particularly picky about some of the things that I saw, however the main issue was the bathroom door locked itself from the inside. We woke up on Saturday morning, needing to use the restroom and were unable to get in. It was myself, my daughter, and her teammate. We were in town for a soccer tournament and needed to check out in order to arrive to the field on time. As soon as I realized that the bathroom door was locked from the inside, I called the front desk only to be told that the maintenance person would not be arriving until 8:30 AM. I called around 8 o’clock in the morning. I told him that we couldn’t wait, that we had to use the restroom, and shower. He said that we could walk downstairs to the lobby and use the bathroom in the lobby. We were not able to take showers. I also left some of my toiletries in the bathroom from the night before, so I was unable to get them. We had to check out because we had to leave, therefore our issue was never settled. I called the front desk and asked for the general manager. They told me he was not available. I also called IHG and explained to them and they told me that I needed to continue to contact the general manager. It has been one week and I have called three times and I have not received a phone call back. $300 for 12 hours and no bathroom usage in the morning. Terrible.
