Hyatt Place Ocean City Oceanfront

Friendly and helpful staff. Super pet friendly; dogs only. Great ocean view right on the boardwalk. Wonderful breakfast every morning. Housekeepers are always cleaning. I thought the beds were hard but the others didn’t. The bathroom lights are bright and woke us up when others used it during the night. Overall it was a good stay. Would stay again.

I paid in advance for the room. When I got to the hotel I was told there is a $200 pet fee. Well I had no choice since I drove 3 hours for my stay. When I checked my account they double charged me. $400. I will never stay there and will review on social media.

This was the second time we spent a weekend at this hotel and we again had a terrific visit! There's a little onsite parking - its pretty tight, so your parking skills will be challenged. Overflow parking is a short distance away, however. We had our two little dogs with us - this property is very accommodating of pets. At the unloading level in the parking area, there is a container of dog biscuits and a water station for pets. There is also a small outdoor relief area directly outside with an ample supply of waste bags. Check in was a breeze and we were soon headed up to our room. We had a spacious corner king oceanfront room that was quiet except for the sounds of the Atlantic outside. We noted that we were there to celebrate our anniversary when we reserved our room. It was a wonderful surprise to get to our room and find a note wishing us a happy anniversary and snacks and beverages! It turned out to be too chilly to sit on the beach and a strong undertow made swimming risky for our tastes. It was nice to walk the beach though. Though it was the weekend after Labor Day, both the beach and boardwalk were busy. We eventually went swimming in the hotel's indoor pool which was great. There is a bar in the pool area where you can get drinks and happy hour specials. Included with our stay was a good breakfast buffet each morning. The food was good with a nice variety of choices. Again, another good stay. I am looking forward to our next visit!

It's a Hyatt and is outstanding, as are most Hyatts. It is very convenient to the Boardwalk. Parking is easy at the garage level.

It was vary convenient to shop on Trip-advisor and compare prices of different hotels at the same time.

POSITIVES The hotel was well kept and clean. Housekeeping was attentive to our needs. The indoor & outdoor pool were well maintained. NEGATIVES The breakfast bar left much to be desired. There is limited parking at the hotel. There is not a designated smoking area.

We were so happy to find an oceanfront location that was clean, accommodated pets,had friendly staff, and was affordable. Best time of the year to come to the beach.
