Scarborough Inn

Thought this was going to be a humble inn but this place far exceeded our expectations. The inn has retained its old charm yet the rooms are newly appointed. You really get the best of both worlds. Prices are extremely reasonable. Location is great. And the best part is, the staff are warm and always looking for something to make your stay better.

I was back in OC for the Porsche Reunion. The Friday night Porch Party was so much fun. Happy people sitting on the porch eating and drinking, chatting and laughing. So good❤️ While I was there I booked for next year! This is truly my favorite place down the shore. I also booked for Christmas shopping again! It's like walking into the set of Cheers. "Sometimes you wanna go Where everybody knows your name, And they're always glad you came". I walked in and was greeted with an enthusiastic and warm welcome. My bags were grabbed, and check-in was done! Sne, Monica, and Jackie are top-notch, attentive without hovering. All staff were truly on their A game! There are always little goodies by the fireplace that add to the warm character of the Inn. Attention to detail and accommodating. Refreshing in this day and age. Breakfast was fast, fresh and delicious. The conversation was lively and the coffee was hot & plenty. The rooms are a must experience. It's not your typical Jersey Shore experience. Clean, uncluttered, and welcoming. Oversized and Upscale! They are at the right temperature, and the bedding is snuggly. Pillows are abundant with crisp white sheets. The bathrooms feel like you are in an Architectural Digest magazine. They are super clean and well-appointed. The Boardwalk was so busy! Having all the Porsches on the boards was exciting. December in Ocean City is also special. The time of the year the boardwalk is ethereal. The vast open space that is normally bustling is quiet. Like seeing an old friend who was lonely. Christmas shopping in OC has become a holiday tradition in our family. The amount of hard work and pride that has gone into making The Scarborough Inn the place to be on the Jersey Shore is evident. Can't wait to go back!

There is no place at the Jersey shore like the Scarborough Inn. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and beautiful with the most gorgeous rain head showers. Everything is private, upscale, but with a comfortable & relaxed vibe. Owner Sne is a treat and he treats his guests like esteemed friends. The breakfast is served when YOU want it (within a generous morning time frame) and WHERE you want it. The staff are friendly but not intrusive and show great pride-joy in their work. Staying at the Scarborough Inn is like visiting your wealthy uncle who adores you. It’s a must-do experience.

The Scarborough Inn is wonderful. Accommodations are comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing—makes you feel like you have truly escaped to a seaside resort that honors its history while providing modern comforts. The owner, Sne, and his staff are fabulous hosts. I highly recommend!

The upgrading of this, the oldest hotel in Ocean City, was done with so much class, style and a wonderful attention to detail . You can walk in and feel transported to a bygone era all the while enjoying top of the line modern conveniences. The rooms are light and extremely pleasant, the breakfast is excellent and the staff, led by the amazing Sne Avichal is delightful. And nothing is more delightful than cocktail hour(s) on the porch. This is now the only place we stay when in OC.

Simply WONDERFUL! Both the inside and outside spaces were beautifully put together. Cozy, inviting places to relax at every turn. Impeccably clean! The staff - World Class! They truly want to provide the best possible service to their guests. They treat you like family. This is not a skill that is taught. This is a skill that is from within. Kudos to the Innkeeper doing the hiring! This is so very rare these days. My wife and I found our Ocean City haven! Thank you Scarborough Inn! We will be back!

Brilliant! My wife and I went down to enjoy some nice weather for a couple days. Our usual place was full, so we decided on Scarborough Inn. We expected the property to smell like an old closet, but we were delighted to find remodeled rooms that were impeccably clean. In addition, the lobby and common areas were a delightful dive into Ocean City history. Antiques and old world charm dominated. The front porch and living area was cozy and comfortable, and the staff spared nothing when it came to creature comforts and conveniences. Moreover, the cooked breakfast was better than any I’ve had at a restaurant on the island. Tomato cheese, and spinach omelette on day one and an amazing quiche on day two. The best part was the staff. You won’t find more delightful, fun, and accommodating people anywhere. We will definitely return and recommend it to all our family and friends!

Lovely boutique hotel, beautifully designed blending old charm and whimsy with a clean esthetic. We stayed in room 212, a cozy queen with 3 bright windows. Bed was comfy. Bathroom is beautiful and shower has good pressure. Plenty of towels with a trolley in the hall if you need more. The big porch is a wonderful place to hang out and the Inn owners are good people. It’s an easy walk to the beach and there’s a bike rental around the corner. Well worth a visit.

Scarborough has the warmest atmosphere. The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean. The “lobby” is more of a living room filled with antiques and a cozy fireplace. We look forward to Happy Hour on the porch every afternoon. The porch is open all year with heaters and blankets for those of us who crave the outdoors regardless of weather. This innkeeper has thought of everything. I almost forgot the breakfasts. The menu changes daily and never disappoints. It’s simply the best!
