Port-O-Call Hotel

As travelers, we're always leery of staying at a new place, be it Condo or Hotel. My Wife and I refer to ourselves as "Prima Donnas" since we need to feel like we're as well taken care of, as we do at home. The Port 'O Call delivered on that feeling, PLUS! Upon arrival, we found several good parking spaces available on their lot. The Lobby and Reception area were clean, bright, and modern. This interior couldn't be dated back to the original construction in 1966- it looked quite recent in design and construction. Check-In was fast and efficient. We were surprised to hear our Hotelier used to live in our neighborhood in Pennsylvania and knew the area well. Our room was even more impressive than the online photos. Plenty of space with a HUGE oceanfront window, and a balcony with oceanfront view. The room came with our "MUST-HAVE" Keurig Pod Coffee Maker. The small refrigerator was perfect cold storage for our coffee creamer, and assorted drinks. The wall-mounted TV was large, and located in the perfect spot for viewing from the dining table or the MOST-comfortable bed. The Temp Control was spot-on when needed for A/C, and the sliding door vented the room on cooler days. The place was booked, but inside our room was so quiet, it was like we were the only guests. The Ice Machine was close, and always dispensed a full bucket of clear cubes when needed. Every Staff Member we met was warm, friendly and polite. A NICE change from the seeming disinterest of a lot of Service Workers in recent years. They even have a Gift Shop, where we picked up some snacks, candy and a really nice "Por 'O Call tee shirt. All-in-all, we heartily recommend staying here. As "Particular" People, we had a really nice stay, and were well taken care of. Refreshingly excellent hospitality right on the Beach, and close to everything the "Shore" offers. ONE OF THE BEST!!

So it was our first time in Ocean City and we chose Port O Call based on positive reviews . Check in was super easy and we liked our room which was a king with a coastline view . It was spacious with reasonably good amenities . The location is great as it is in the middle part of the boardwalk . Every room has a balcony , and my only complaint would be the very uncomfortable chairs on the balcony . We did not try the restaurant in the hotel , but it seemed busy each morning . Also there are many breakfast/lunch options within walking distance . It is a dry town , so dinner for us was a drive away , as we enjoy a good bottle of wine with our evening meal when on vacation . All in all , it was a very pleasant stay.

I just got back from staying here for a week. I have to say I wasn’t impressed with the staff this year. Staff was very impersonal and not very nice at all. This includes the restaurant Adelene. My husband and I came here 2 yrs ago and the staff was amazing. We were truly disappointed this year. There was also mildew in the bathroom on the ceiling by the tub/ shower and the paint was coming off the ceiling. I thought the rooms were renovated?! Hopefully the owners or managers read this and makes some changes.

We came here for a long weekend getaway with two small children. We really enjoyed the location and the amenities. We only wish there was an easy to go breakfast option since our kids are little and it's a lot to get our act together first thing in the morning Otherwise it was a great visit.

Clean everywhere Kind front office staff. Beach chairs and umbrella included Location away but close to action on boardwalk Hotel kept up incredibly and we are picky! Great view from room and deck! Two elevators that work pretty well! Great time!

Just wanted to say that everything was Great this past weekend for our Women’s Retreat! Several ladies had a breakfast or two at the restaurant and enjoyed it. The service and food was very good! The meeting room was perfect and every detail came together and was locked and unlocked quickly for us at each of our requests. The hotel rooms were beautiful and the ocean view is, of course, spectacular. Marilyn DeMaria , Sales Manager, did an Excellent job of making sure every detail was handled. We have been going there for our Annual Retreat for decades and they have never disappointed us. That’s why we keep returning and we had another successful event this year thanks to ALL the wonderful staff there!

My family and I would like to thank the Food and Beverage Manager, Khalid Afifi and two waitresses Kathy and Deborah for a beautiful breakfast at Adelene’s! We were there to celebrate a 40 th birthday and these three people made it wonderful! Khalid was great to work with from making the reservation to being there that morning and greeting us and always making sure we had what we needed and going above and beyond to take care of us! The two servers, Kathy and Deborah were kind and efficient and were always making sure we had everything we needed! All three of these people always had a smile! Our breakfast was delicious and we had a wonderful time being together as a family! It was a beautiful day and the view was gorgeous! Thank you to all who made our family celebration a wonderful one! Thank you to the front desk who greeted us and to the kitchen for the delicious food! We didn’t get to stay over but a family member had in the past and loved it! I felt compelled to write this review because even though we stayed for one night, they (specifically Colleen) went above and beyond to make this a memorable time. I had done a wash that night and the dryer wasn't working. My clothes were still wet after 48 minutes so I went to let the front desk know just so they could have it fixed for future customers. Well Colleen at the front desk gave me a full refund for the dryer and the wash as well, which I thought was so very nice. When I got back to the room, I had to hang up my clothes all over to have them dry by the morning when we were leaving and because of that, I forgot my hat that was hanging on the back of the bathroom door. I was devastated because it was my favorite hat and I tried to buy it again and it was all sold out and not being made again. So, I called the hotel and Colleen answered and she remembered me and said she would look for it. A few hours later she called me back to say she found it and would mail it back to me! In 2 days, a big box came for me from the hotel and the postage was $9! I couldn't imagine why for just a hat. When I opened the box, not only was my hat there, but Colleen had put in 2 t-shirts from the hotel as well! WOW! My mouth dropped in surprise. I can't thank her enough for helping my husband and I have a great vacation! I was sorry we were only able to stay one night. With all the horrors going on in the world, it's so refreshing to meet someone so helpful and dedicated to their job and to caring about the guests. I would stay at this hotel again and again and hope one day we can go back. Besides all that, it was right on the boardwalk, very clean and had a great restaurant. Thank you again, Colleen!

We recently stayed at the Port-House @ The Port-O-Call Hotel and must say that our visit was extremely enjoyable. Our reservations through Stephanie, Vicki and Caden were very easy, and everyone was professional in assisting with so many questions. The entire staff and service personnel at the hotel were always available to make our stay enjoyable.
