Skønt sted i vidunderlige omgivelser. Kur, pool og badefaciliteter over al forventning. Skøne pool, boblebade, dambad og sauna og fitnessområder. Restauranten ok, men klart det andet, der trækker.

the quality of the hotel is fantastic. the food is excellent. the rooms have a magnificent view. the gym is incredible and the tranquility of the place too! there is a small discotheque in the evening with good music and a bar, very clever because the hotel is quite isolated. in short we really appreciated the place and all the staff very kind and welcoming! we will definitely come back!!

Schöne Sicht, Eingangsbereich, Fitnessstudio (zwar übertrieben für ein Hotel. Das macht nur Sinn wenn man in der Stadt ein Fitness betreibt), Wellness muss schön sein (haben wir nicht gesehen). Wir verbrachten ein verlängertes WE mit unserem Hund im Hotel Allgäu Sonne. Mit Hund ist man ganz offenkundig nicht willkommen. Wir durften in einem Nebengebäude, sog. "Landhaus" wohnen. Schon der Eingangsbereich ließ nichts Gutes erahnen, verrostete Eisengitter als Fußabstreifer, Farbe, die von der Fassade bröckelt. Im Flur dann ein alter unhygienischer Teppich. Im Appartement ebenso ein alter Teppichboden, auch nicht besser. Ein winziges Bad und Möbel, die nicht zusammen passten, alt und abgeramscht waren, ganz zu schweigen vom fast leeren Duschgel. Beim Abendessen am ersten Abend war der Salat zu den Garnelen völlig mit Essig überwürzt und auch die Pfifferlingsuppe war völlig verwürzt. Dazu gibt es nicht einmal anständige Weingläser. Ein weiterer Mangel ist die Parksituation. Es gibt nicht ausreichend Parkplätze, so dass man schon fast genötigt wird die kostenpflichtige Tiefgarage zu nutzen. Und die Krönung waren betrunkene Randalierer im Haus in der letzten Nacht, die uns um 01.15 Uhr um den Schlaf gebracht haben. Es gab lautes Geschrei im Hausgang, auch mit anderen Bewohnern, die mit den Randalierern lautstark wegen der Ruhestörung stritten. Dass es eine Gästekarte gibt, erfuhren wir beim Golfspielen, da hätten wir diese gebrauchen können, leider wurden wir darüber im Hotel nicht informiert. In anderen Häusern wird eine Gästekarte ganz selbstverständlich ausgehändigt. In der Sauna gab es nie einen Aufguss. Einen so schlechten, angeblichen, 5-Sterne-Standard haben wir noch nirgends erlebt. Die Bedienungen beim Essen, früh und abends, verdienen volles Lob, sie waren stets sehr freundlich und bemüht. Wir wären in jedem privaten Appartement besser aufgehoben gewesen.

Wir waren insgesamt eine Gruppe von 12 Personen. Die 5 Sterne gehören aus verschiedenen Aspekten der Vergangenheit an. Die Angebote hinsichtlich Spa, Qualität sowie Auswahl des Frühstücks war toll und super gut. Leider stimmt aber der Service der Angestellten beim Empfang sowie im Back-Office gar nicht - Bereits beim Einchecken gab es ein riesen durcheinander mit den Namen und Zimmern, obschon wir schriftlich alle Daten der Personen angegeben hatten. Der Service bei der Bar lässt zu wünschen übrig, langes warten bis sich jemand bewegt. Aber Team der Dancing-Bar sehr freundlich und kompetent. Die Nebenhäuser sind in die Jahre gekommen aber sauber und soweit ok. Leider was der definitive Stein des Anstosses ist und definitiv unakzeptabel ist, dass dei Rechnung des Abendessens in der Gruppe von 12 Personen unkorrekt war und wir bis heute keine detaillierte Konsumationsabrechnungen bekommen, Anzahl Menüs stimmen nicht usw. Trotzdem, dass wir mehrfach persönlich, telefonisch sowie schriftlich nachgefragt haben, erscheint weder den Bereichsverantwortlichen noch dem Geschäftsführer zu interessieren. So was unkompetentes haben wir noch nie erlebt und sind sehr oft, mehrmals pro Jahr in Oberstaufen. Daher, für uns die so Sonne untergegangen.

The hotel is superbly located, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains, yet located within easy walking distance of the center of Oberstaufen with its many restaurants and shops. (The hotel also provides an hourly shuttle service to the Oberstaufen train station; in addition, the local town bus ("Ortsbus") has a stop right in front of the hotel.) The room I had booked, a studio in one of the adjacent buildings, was spacious, airy, bright, and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a very nice free-standing bathtub - perfect for a relaxing soaking bath at the end of the day. Breakfast was fantastic; the enormous breakfast buffet offered everything one would want and then some. Service was excellent; everyone on the staff I interacted with during my stay - from restaurant servers to receptionists and housekeeping staff - was very friendly and helpful. But the best part of this hotel are its spa and wellness offerings, which are absolutely top notch and which were the primary reason I had chosen this hotel in the first place. The wellness facilities include three pools, a large sauna, a steam bath, several relaxation rooms, and a huge fitness room equipped with the latest in gym equipment. The entire wellness area was spotlessly clean, uncrowded, peaceful and serene. The hotel offers a large menu of massages and therapeutic treatments. I had several of their offerings during my stay and found them to be excellent. I can especially recommend their body wraps, which are performed in a special waterbed like system that I found to be supremely relaxing and reminiscent of the experience of a float tank. All in all, I had a wonderful and memorable stay at the Hotel Allgau Sonne and I will be sure to visit again. This hotel represents the very best in Bavarian hospitality and German wellness culture.

Ich bin kein Freund von sehr gehobenen Hotels (5Sterne). Trotzdem wollte ich es mal erleben. Ich war nicht enttäuscht. Alles war stimmig. Mir gefiel das Zimmer und der SPA Bereich. Zur Umgebung. Es ist Oberstaufen. Viel Tourismus. Beim Hotel gefiel mir die vielen Angebote im Bereich Wandern und Fitness. Das Essen am Abend war sehr lecker. Alle wünsche wurden erfüllt. Auch bei Intoleranz wurde man Bestens beraten und wünsche verwirklicht. Danke
