Some parts of the interior feel old, but overall it is in a good condition. At check-in, there was a guide like a luxury hotel. The hot springs in the hotel are small in circulation, but they are even saunas. Breakfast was buffet style at the hotel restaurant. Unlike some Japanese hotels the bathroom wasn't one of these plastic capsules which looks like it has been dropped into the room. However, the bathroom itself while functional was again old. The TV had only Japanese channels but there was a fridge and a denji kettle for making tea and coffee. The wi-fi functioned fine. My room was no smoking but there was a whiff of cigarette smoke in the corridor. The staff were very friendly but spoke minimal English and offered me a bottle of water or a beer on arrival which was a lovely gesture. Reading this you might be thinking it all sounds a bit grim but it's not. It is an inexpensive hotel which is a bit tired and could do with updating. The location is great and the free car park is a real draw.
