Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"The hotel was clean and the room was excellent. However, the hotel posits itself as a spa hotel and the spa was the worst one i have ever been to. The changing rooms were very basic, there was no hot tub and it had a very budget feel about it. Which given the price of the room you would expect so much more. The restaurant was very nice and the service there was excellent. I wouldn't stay here again only because of the spa and cost of the hotel."
Relaxing Room with Ensuite Rutland Point ★★★
The Old Pheasant Hotel ★★
"The stay was made effortless by the friendly and attentive staff"
Wisteria Hotel ★★★
"The hotel is located in a small town, very quiet. You can walk to the supermarket for shopping. The shops along the street close early. It is a good place for vacation and leisure. The air is very fresh."
The Marquess of Exeter ★★★★
Oakham Hotel ★★★
"Good experience"
Hambleton Hall ★★★★
"I last stayed at the Hambleton Hall in 1986, so 40 years on, I was delighted to revisit. Hambleton Hall is truly an 'island' of excellent and superior hospitality . Set on a narrow peninsular in Rutland water, this hotel, in a fine, old, English country house, warmly rekindles the experience of sumptuous rural living, enjoyed by an English elite in times long gone. When it was a private home, none other than Noel Coward famously regarded the house as one of his favourite places to stay. Our room was spacious, airy, attractively decorated and furnished , with a delightful bathroom through a stained glass door. It was perfectly clean and the bed was super comfortable , with crisp white bed linen. What a pleasure ! Breakfast was a treat. Hambleton Hall has its own bakery, supplying nearby shops and their croissants & 'pain au chocolat' were delicious. Of course the breakfast included a ' full English' with a choice of egg styles, it looked and tasted ...perfect. Coffee and tea were also good and the service was attentive and friendly. This is a very beautiful and yes, magical place. It's a place to reset yourself and perhaps yourself with others, what a wonderful experience. I felt a strong melancholy upon departure. I mustn't leave it for 40 years again ! Thank you Hambleton Hall."
The Crown ★★★★
"Fantastic hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, very accommodating. Even if the car park is full, they'll reimburse your payment for the Co-op car park next door. Lovely bar and brilliant breakfast! Fully recommended"
Greetham Valley ★★★
"The kitchen appears to be incapable of providing the menu as requested from the "Stay and Play" list. It isn't difficult, if you cannot do what you offer, either say so or, change the menu."
