My first impression was that the temperature was a little hot for a room, but as my body got used to it, it became very comfortable, and it was a bath that healed my body and mind. The private open-air bath can be used for about 3,000 yen on a rotating basis every 45 baths. The hot water is slightly lukewarm, and I felt that it was suitable for long bathing. Thanks to all of you, the 45 minutes flew by in a blink of an eye, and it made me want to go in more. I used the general open-air bath in the morning to enjoy the view. The view was easier to see than the private open-air bath. Unfortunately, it was drizzling and it was hazy in the distance, but I enjoyed the last hot spring of Ikaho while watching the good view and went home. The open-air bath was open to men and women at different times, but it was spacious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even after 5:00 in the morning, I went to the open-air bath in the dark and woke up perfectly. Breakfast was also very good. Check-out is at 11:00, so buy souvenirs at the shop before that. If you pay by credit card, it will be smoother if you ask them to charge the room before checking out. When I left the entrance, the staff took out my shoes, everyone greeted me in a loud voice, and I was able to leave comfortably. Shima Onsen wasn't a big tourist spot, but it was a very good place to go to the hot springs with your family.
