"The host is very welcoming and clean"

"A large inn in Oigami Onsen. We stayed here for a day trip. There are three indoor and outdoor baths. One is for women only, and the rest are mixed. The indoor bath has a chlorine smell because of the circulation, and all guests use the outdoor bath. The bathing fee is 1000 yen per hour, with an additional 1000 yen for each additional hour. The two outdoor baths have different spring quality, and the large outdoor bath at the back had a nice view. The hot spring is slightly warm, so you can take a long bath. There were white hot spring deposits in the middle outdoor bath."

"We hadn't made a reservation for the parking lot in advance, but they went out of their way to accommodate us, especially since we had children and had to leave early the next day. They also upgraded our room, and we had a very comfortable stay. The staff were so helpful, and even though we had a lot of heavy luggage, they went back and forth to carry it for us, gave our children some snacks, and were extremely considerate. I'd like to use them again if I'm in the area!"
Hotel Yamaguchiya
"We stayed here for one night for a ski trip with 8 members of my family and relatives in 3 rooms. When we entered the hot spring town, we were worried about the rather rundown and lonely atmosphere, but as soon as we arrived in front of the inn by car, a man from the inn (a tall, middle-aged man with white hair and glasses) came to us and carefully guided us around, and it was so comfortable that it completely swept away the lonely atmosphere. His customer service skills were so pleasant that I thought he was a true "professional". I was surprised at how pleasant the young people who served us, including this man, were throughout the meal. It's hard to find inns and hotels like this these days, so it reminded me of the nostalgic Showa era when people connected with each other. The food was handmade with "heart" and was beautiful in color, and the spirit of "hospitality" was apparent. In any case, I think it's a wonderful inn with "heart". I would definitely like to use it again when I come to the area for sightseeing or skiing. It's the perfect example of an inn!"

"The surroundings are exceptionally quiet, making it ideal for relaxation or even a bit of meditation. It may not be the best choice for families with children, as there are very limited amenities catered for them. Service, however, was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond — when my rental car had a brake light issue, they noticed it before I did, stepped in to assist, contacted the rental company, and ensured it was resolved the very next morning. That level of attentiveness is rare. Location-wise, it is quite remote. There’s little within walking distance, so getting around or finding food requires some planning. But if you’re here for peace and an onsen experience, that quiet isolation becomes part of the appeal. A memorable stay overall, especially for those seeking calm, comfort, and genuine hospitality."

"This was my first time staying here. I used my car's navigation system to get there, but it's in a place where even the navigation system gets lost. Has the room been renovated? It was very clean, and judging by the number of chairs, it seemed like a room for five people and was very spacious... however, there was no water in the bathroom or toilet on the second floor where the room was located. It was one thing for a small amount of water, but it wouldn't flush for a large amount of water, so I used the toilet on the first floor. I even used the sink in the bathroom on the first floor to brush my teeth before going to bed. When I went to take a bath around 4:30 in the morning, there was no water from the taps or shower! It had been working fine the previous evening, but now the sink wasn't working and I couldn't brush my teeth...it's supposed to be open 24 hours, isn't it? After 8am, the second floor and the bathroom were working fine. A heated swimming pool? Such a half-baked thing is unnecessary. I think they should use that money to create more variety in the baths. The room had a TV and a refrigerator, and the mineral water in the refrigerator was complimentary. It seems that meals are basically taken in the restaurant. There is no microwave in the building, only a shared kettle next to the restaurant entrance. I tried to re-boil it, but it didn't work. By the way, there's a microwave at the RV park, so you can use it if you go across from the parking lot."

"I stayed here after a trail run. The open-air hot spring bath had a lovely, tranquil atmosphere, surrounded by a well-maintained garden. I enjoyed a delicious Japanese meal in a private room. The room was spacious and clean. Overall, it was a reasonably priced inn that met all my needs."
Pension VindeRouge
"Small but clean and cozy. The rice was delicious. The owner was also very kind. It was good to have many books and cartoons! There is no TV."
