"A large inn in Oigami Onsen. We stayed here for a day trip. There are three indoor and outdoor baths. One is for women only, and the rest are mixed. The indoor bath has a chlorine smell because of the circulation, and all guests use the outdoor bath. The bathing fee is 1000 yen per hour, with an additional 1000 yen for each additional hour. The two outdoor baths have different spring quality, and the large outdoor bath at the back had a nice view. The hot spring is slightly warm, so you can take a long bath. There were white hot spring deposits in the middle outdoor bath."

"I stayed at this hot spring hotel before going on the Oze trekking tour. The fact that there is a shuttle bus from Ueno to Jomo-Kogen Station at 2pm when taking the Shinkansen is a big plus (lol). I had to rush in the morning to get to Oze, but breakfast was scheduled for 7:30am. The service of moving it up to 7am was fantastic. I'd definitely like to use it again next time."

"This was my first time staying here. I used my car's navigation system to get there, but it's in a place where even the navigation system gets lost. Has the room been renovated? It was very clean, and judging by the number of chairs, it seemed like a room for five people and was very spacious... however, there was no water in the bathroom or toilet on the second floor where the room was located. It was one thing for a small amount of water, but it wouldn't flush for a large amount of water, so I used the toilet on the first floor. I even used the sink in the bathroom on the first floor to brush my teeth before going to bed. When I went to take a bath around 4:30 in the morning, there was no water from the taps or shower! It had been working fine the previous evening, but now the sink wasn't working and I couldn't brush my teeth...it's supposed to be open 24 hours, isn't it? After 8am, the second floor and the bathroom were working fine. A heated swimming pool? Such a half-baked thing is unnecessary. I think they should use that money to create more variety in the baths. The room had a TV and a refrigerator, and the mineral water in the refrigerator was complimentary. It seems that meals are basically taken in the restaurant. There is no microwave in the building, only a shared kettle next to the restaurant entrance. I tried to re-boil it, but it didn't work. By the way, there's a microwave at the RV park, so you can use it if you go across from the parking lot."

The building was very new, the staff were extremely friendly, and the public bath was perfect for relaxing and relieving our fatigue after a long day. "The surroundings are exceptionally quiet, making it ideal for relaxation or even a bit of meditation. It may not be the best choice for families with children, as there are very limited amenities catered for them. Service, however, was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond — when my rental car had a brake light issue, they noticed it before I did, stepped in to assist, contacted the rental company, and ensured it was resolved the very next morning. That level of attentiveness is rare. Location-wise, it is quite remote. There’s little within walking distance, so getting around or finding food requires some planning. But if you’re here for peace and an onsen experience, that quiet isolation becomes part of the appeal. A memorable stay overall, especially for those seeking calm, comfort, and genuine hospitality."

"Since April, the management has changed, the hotel name has become "Livemax," the frosted glass logo at the entrance and the doormats have been changed, and the sofa with Alesi's signature is gone, but the notices, furnishings, and decorations remain unchanged, and it's still operating as a "turnkey operation"! There's a mysterious logic to the situation, such as not issuing receipts for on-site payments. The bed making is done by amateurs. The free newspaper service has been discontinued. It cannot be said that sufficient hotel management know-how has been passed down from the affiliated hotels."

"The hostess greeted us with a smile. The building has a retro Showa feel, but the rooms have been renovated and the building is clean and comfortable. The hot spring water is free-flowing and circulated, and the open-air bath next to the large bath on the first floor is not available. We went to the indoor bath and open-air bath on the second floor, which are switched between men and women from 9:00 p.m. We were soothed by the mountains in front of us and the sound of the Katashina River flowing below. At night, we looked at the full moon over the mountains, and in the morning, we wanted to stay in the lukewarm water and the refreshing breeze. For dinner, we had the local dish of Gimin-nabe (a hot pot with sukiyaki noodles), miso-marinated pork teppanyaki, sashimi of salmon, konnyaku sashimi, yuba, salt-grilled sweetfish, and more. It was delicious, so we ate a lot of rice. Breakfast was the same as the ryokan menu, but perhaps the rice was cooked well, so it was delicious. It's better to have the good qualities of this old Japanese inn than a large, luxurious inn. We were able to relax and spend a relaxing time."
