Very nice hotel. Beautiful views. Lovely and comfortable rooms. Pools well kept and everyone was extremely friendly and kind. Food at the restaurant was excellent with a variety of choices. The trails in the reserve at the hotel were marked very well and could easily be followed without a guide.

Unmatched views of unspoiled coastline including the Ostional beach where we saw turtles hatching. Restaurant setting was very soothing with excellent red snapper. Staff was very attentive and fast (albeit in very low season). The cocktails at sunset were unmatched. You could spend long hours in the infinity pools relaxing with the views. Enjoyed the choice of pool temperatures as well as the nice outdoor shower in our bedroom. And on the top of that we got an upgraded room for free!

Fui a celebrar mi cumpleaños con mi esposo y nos encantó todo de nuestra estadía , la comida deliciosa , la atención del personal excelente , las habitaciones lindas y cómodas con la mejor vista , las piscinas deliciosas y la tranquilidad que se respira no tiene precio ! Siempre volvemos , el mejor hotel de Nosara !

I have resided in Costa Rica for 17 years. Our principal residence is San Jose, however we vacation frequently. This was one of our best experiences. Everything was beyond our expectations. The staff was professional and went out of their way to make our visit memorable.

Incredible location with an incredibly poor service and food quality. People do not seem more engaged than the minimum. So sad given the incredible location. Food is clearly below standard in a country like Costa Rica where everything is fresh and delicious… clearly a big miss given the incredible location …

Just wow! We stayed in a panaromic family room for 3 nights. The room has two American size queen beds, with very high quality linen. The rooms are very spacious wi5 a large balcony with two lounger chairs and a hammock. There is a room wide patio window doors, which have views to die for. The air con and fans certainly do a great job! The hotel is very well designed for relaxation, with the infinity pools overlooking one of the best views ever! The restaurant serves excellent food, the risotto is the best I have had out of Italy! The sunsets as everyone says are out of this world. The staff are also super professional and go out of their way to ensure you are looked after. The shuttle bus to the town is so handy, but beware, the road is savage, most of it has been washed away in recent storms… worst we experienced! However the beaches are something else…. And we’ll worth the ‘Costa Rica bus massage’ we had the most relaxing time, and memories made with the sunsets!

Unbelievable week spent at Lagarta. The rooms were very comfortable. The views from all over were incredible. The restaurant served yummy meals and the service was outstanding. The front desk staff was always accommodating and very friendly. The spa was the best we have ever experienced both in services and location. I do not give this hotel a 10/10 lightly. Gracias and truly pura vida.

This place was EPIC! Sweetest hotel I’ve ever been at. The staff was awesome the views were fantastic the accessibility to the beaches were great. Everything about this place was amazing! Wish we stayed longer. We did the boat tour and saw a bunch of wild life! Sunsets were killer and the staff was very good! 10/10

Awesome stay. Nice location. Great front staff. Very clean rooms. Nice Pools. Loved the breakfast. Sunset also unbeatable. Guide Kendall (Boat Tour) did a great job in showing us from Crocodiles to Owls everything. Only "challenging" point is the short road up to the resort which desperately needs some work.
