Rodeway Inn

This place was apparently remodeled and my family and I can’t imagine what it must have been like before the “remodel”. The walls are filthy, one of the lampshades was ripped and falling off the lamp and was being held up with a piece of electrical tape. There were two different types of flooring in the room and the WORST of all were the disgusting bed sheets that were stained and speckled with dirt. When we called to have them changed, the woman who came was not apologetic, but annoyed. You can’t expect much with budget hotels, but you should expect cleanliness and order. One positive note is the manager was very nice.

We stayed here when going to a Clemson football game. The only reason we chose here was due to the crazy jacked up prices at other hotels. The front desk worker was fine. The outside stairs leading up to the 2nd floor room were dangerous and falling apart. The place is definitely dated, but the mattresses and linens seemed new and the bed was really comfortable. The run down love seat had pizza sauce or blood on it. I didn't get close enough to inspect. They must rent rooms for the week to construction workers, as there were trucks everywhere after work hours. A couple on the first floor was fighting for a while, and it sounded right outside or window. I have learned to buy a pillow and towels at Walmart when we stay in the area, as a lot of the budget hotels are pretty bad. I wouldn't stay here again, regardless of price.

The price is right at this traditional motel with convenient parking; spotless, fresh smelling rooms; updated bath & TV with multiple channels; & comfortable beds. Having a room overlooking trees is refreshing. Despite the closeness to I-85, the rooms are quiet. Restaurants are plentiful within a mile of the exit, as is a Regal Cinema. I've stayed multiple times & intend to return when in SC.
