The view was fantastic, but the room itself was a disappointment and felt "icky" and unclean. We couldn't get the tv to work and there were no phones in the room to call the front desk. The plastic coated sheet with the tv stations was sticky to the touch. I had to wear socks at all times as my feet felt nasty and again sticky after touching the floors. They had a plastic mat for the shower, but it was slick with soap residue from previous guests. The kitchen area had a stove/sink/frig unit that was rusty and instructed us not to use certain components. While there were glasses and cookware in the cupboard, we didn't feel safe using them when everything else was filthy. There were no sealed cups for us to use at all. The pillows were incredibly thin and both mornings when we awoke we had tiny sugar ants crawling on the night stand between our beds. Also, a huge garden spider had made a web on the outside of our bay view window, which freaked me out each time I opened the curtains. It was difficult to get into the motel without breaking the law to cross double yellow lines and it was difficult to distinguish which room you were in because the numbers on the doors were the same color as the doors. Also expect some road noise as the rooms are right on hwy 101. We would opt for a different motel next time.

I'll admit I was a bit concerned when we pulled in. But, the reservation was made, paid for, and too late to cancel. We were very surprised at the room when we entered. It was clean, felt comfortable, and had no "bad" smell to it. It was a warm afternoons, so I asked the manager if he had a fan I could use, and he was more than happy to hand me one. He made sure it was clean while I was standing there. A bit later, he stopped by to see if we needed another one. The bed was a little soft for our taste, but that's not a big deal. We slept just fine. When night came, the place got very quiet, and it was full. Also, they enforce the no smoking policy. All in all the entire place was in very good condition.

Giant hole in the mattress that I would sink into every single time I moved. The whole hall was the size of my suitcase. The trail of ants constantly down the shower wall. No phone or heat in the room. There was a space heater, and when I plugged it in and turned it on, it, blew out the power to the building, the front desk woman was not friendly at all. I even extended my stay, and she was completely rude. Every time I saw her.

This is an oldie but goodie. Our room was very clean. Irene was very friendly and helpful at check-in. We would definitely stay here again. Just keep in mind this is an oldie. Had a nice bay view in our room. Bring your own glasses for water or wine.

Don’t go. Read all the prior reviews because they are true. We booked & paid ahead of time. Got there at 3:00pm check-in time, rooms were not ready. The pictures are misleading. The rooms are not nice. The bathroom window did not lock or have a curtain on it. The shower had a clear curtain on it. There was no shower head. Small flood lights over the sink. The towel holder fell off the wall. The rug was in extremely bad shape. Smelled like cat urine in the small closet.no coffee pot. You had to go to the office to get coffee that was to open at 7 am, but didn’t. So we had to go elsewhere for coffee. The people next door to us checked into their room for three days, left for a little, came back and when they put the key in the door to their room, there were people inside kicking the door back at them. The office had given their room away. Luckily they were given another one and things didn’t get any worse. By reading prior reviews, seems like giving away rooms is something of a scam/theft if you prepay, give your room to someone else, tell you they are all booked/full so they can’t give you another room, and not give your money back. There are no chairs or table. We brought our outdoor camp chairs in to sit on. The curtains on the windows are see through. I could go on and on, but running out of spaces

Almost hate to share my outstanding experience @ this tiny motel, but want others to enjoy this simple but super accommodation! Front desk and management staff worked hard to fit me in when an Air B&B went south, so I stayed in several rooms. Be sure to request a room with a rear window that provides an unobstructed, awesome view of the dunes and bay!!! Right off 101 before the bridge to North Bend it is a great home base to explore the highlights of Charleston, Coos Bay, and North Bend. Lived-in, comfortable decor, updated TVs, as well as calming shore views guarantee a great stay. Hope to return soon!

I would not say that it’s the worst place I’ve ever stayed in, let’s just say that I will definitely not return. The bed was broken, with a giant hole in the middle. Ants continuously climbing in and out of holes in the bathroom wall/shower. Probably a three minute maximum on hot water in the shower. No heat in the room however, there is a space heater (because that’s safe) they don’t tell you though if you turn on the lamp in the space heater at the same time it blows out all the power. You have to contact the office and they have to flip the breaker. The walls are so paperthin that you can hear conversations happening in the next room as clear as day. Zero communication between the staff! I had extended my stay and paid with one person. The extremely unpleasant woman in the office began beating on my door the next morning and then proceeded to charge me an additional $68 just because she could. You can feel the wind blow right through the windows, so that also means you can hear every single bit of noisy traffic passing by on the busy road right in front. There are probably three dozen dead gnats stuck to the ceiling. The carpet smells as if a cat is locked in there during I have 40 hour work week with no litter box.
