Die Lage des Hotels in Norderstedt ist sowohl was Ruhe wie auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten anbelangt recht gut. Am Rande des kleinen Moorbek-Parkes (mit Wanderwegen) gelegen bietet die Umgebung die nötige Ruhe, nach vorne heraus gibt es nahebei Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und auch kostenfreie Parkplätze. Flugzeuglärm vom etwa 5 Kilometer entfernt befindlichen Hamburger Flughafen Fuhlsbüttel hört man so gut wie nicht. Nur bei sehr ungünstiger Windlage ist in weiter weiter ferne ein leichtes Motorensummen zu hören (bei geöffnetem Fenster). Vom Hotel in die Hamburger Innenstadt, z.B. zur Elbphilharmonie sind es immerhin eine Stunde Fahrzeit mit U- und S-Bahn. Wir hatten das Doppelzimmer 124 zugeteilt bekommen, ein recht gut und funktionell ausgestattetes Zimmer mit Blick auf den hinteren Park. Das Zimmer war ausgestattet mit guten Betten, in denen wir erholsam geschlafen haben. Zudem gab es im Raum eine lange Schreibtisch-Kombination, einen guten Flachbild-Fernseher, Wasserkocher, Kühlschrank, kostenlosen Safe, Kofferablage und einen Schrank. Recht positiv empfanden wir die Fußbodenbeleuchtung unter dem Nachttisch, die mit einem Bewegungsmelder ausgestattet war und nachts den Weg zur Toilette nicht zur Stolperfalle werden ließ. Das Zimmer nebst zugehörigem Badezimmer (mit begehbarer Dusche und ”Regenwalddusche”) waren sauber und schienen neuwertig ausgestattet. Beim Frühstück herrschte eine zwanglose nette Atmosphäre. Die Auswahl am Frühstücks-Buffett war echt gut. Es gab u.a. Brot, frische Brötchen, Salate, Säfte, Käse, Wurst, Rührei, gekochte Eier, Marmeladen, uam. Kaffee stand in Warmhaltekannen bereit. Soweit ich weiß bietet das Hotel außer einer Hotelbar und kostenfreiem Wlan keine gesonderten Freizeitangebote an. Vom Hotel aus sind aber bequem mit ÖPNV die Hamburger Innenstadt zu erreichen. Die U-Bahnstation ist rund 400 Meter entfernt (durch den Park ist es noch etwas kürzer). Nahebei befinden sich Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Parkplätze. Tipp: Während der Tiefgaragen-Parkplatz beim Hotel pro Tag 9 Euro kostet, parkt man in nahen Seitenstraßen kostenlos, an Sonn- und Feiertagen auch ganz nahebei gegenüber der Edeka. Unter der Woche braucht man dort eine Parkscheibe.

Nice hotel, location nearby airport, hotel have free airport shuttle service

Stayed here on my own for a few nights. The low cost was a determining factor for me and given the price it was a perfectly acceptable hotel. The single room was of a fine size as was the bathroom. Around 1.5 miles from the nearest metro station and 4 miles from the airport but this was sufficiently close for my purposes.

We were only 1 night in the hotel. The first room was not rentable for me. EC to the courtyard was ok. The bath was not clean. Hair in the shower, trails in the shower and a total wet shower was in, instead of before the shower. On washing basins and armatures there were still color sprayers from the renovation. On the deck only a naked glow bead. The deck light in the room did not work. Of 4 spots only one went. TV defect. hangs were not correctly hanging completely. There was only one stick in 1,50 height at bed for a lamp at bed. Although everything was just newly painted, you saw the moisture in the walls again at some places. The color was already down. After our complaint, we got another room that, though loud, but not so loud. Here was just the hang for the shower head broken. The room had the good 20 years behind it, but you can be called hotel rooms. But here too the bath was not really clean. Price / performance does not fit here. Because of the pre-commentars, we prefer to waive breakfast. I personally will no longer take this house into account in my travel planning.
