A budget stay right next to the train station, about 10 min walk to the fishing harbour. The capsules are basic but adequate for a solo traveler. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

It's a two-minute walk from Noboribetsu JR Station. It takes about ten minutes to take the bus to Jigokudani Onsen Street. Be careful not to miss the last bus when you come back.

The front desk service was very friendly. The only drawback was that there was no air conditioning in the middle of summer. There was only one small electric fan in the corridor for more than 20 people in the mixed room. It was very hot, especially when the curtains of the beds were lowered, it was even hotter. It is highly recommended to install air conditioning, or at least add a small electric fan in each bed.
