"The location is very good for sightseeing and quiet. We expected more proactive service in a 4-star-hotel. (We had to make up our beds on our own, even after confirmation that the room should be cleaned up. Surprising in a 4-star-hotel.) The facilities are historic, yes, but also not well cared. It is a shame that the wooden furniture or the wooden elements like window sills are not renovated."

"Really really great place. Don't be fooled by the lack of photos. The place is nice and homely. They have private onsen as well. And the HOST is WONDERFUL. He is so nice and so friendly. He made us feel so welcome even though we were only staying a day. Loved this stay"
Nikko Station Hotel Classic
"Convenient place. It’s just a 5min walk from the Tobu Nikko station (the station you would arrive in if you rode over from Asakusa). It’s a premium stay that has a public bath. In the rooms you have even lotions and face washes and overall the hotel feels very new. The breakfast that comes with the stay is decent. Had vege curry with rice, hard boiled eggs, salad, bread with jam, fresh milk. It’s very near the bus station that takes you to most sightseeing areas in Nikko. You should find out about their busses at the tourist information center because the busses are not registered in Google maps!"

"Looks like a brand new hotel! You can use the kitchen on the ground floor - coffee machine, oven, micro wave, ice, and a table to eat. Just didn’t like the bathing area with see through glass door."

"We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Nikko. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our experience truly enjoyable. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were delicious. The hotel's amenities, including a public bath, mini market, vending machines, and a cafe, covered all our needs. Additionally, evening events added a nice touch to our stay. Its convenient location, easily accessible from the train station via bus, made exploring Nikko effortless. The complimentary shuttle back to the train station upon check-out was a thoughtful gesture, rounding off a great experience."

The staff were friendly, accommodating, and always willing to assist. One pleasant surprise was the complimentary breakfast, which I had not expected and was a great way to start the day. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay that exceeded my expectations. I would happily stay here again on a future visit to Nikko."

"There is a staff member waiting in front of the entrance to provide valet service. When it rains, the staff member holds an umbrella for you and helps you with your luggage, which is nice. The buffet is good for eating a variety of foods. The hot springs are also clean and nice."
