Nikko Park Lodge Mountain Side

I was able to go to my dream destination, Nikko Toshogu Shrine! It was within walking distance! It had a very log cabin-like atmosphere and it really got me excited! Please see the photos for more details!

The location is halfway up the mountain, 20-25 minutes walk from Tobu Nikko Station. Very quiet, the air is super good in the morning. It takes 30 minutes to walk to Toshogu Shrine. The scenery along the way is very good. It is worth walking slowly. The breakfast is delicious. The hotel provides disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel and bath towels. But disposable slippers are not provided, it is recommended to bring disposable slippers by yourself. Surrounded by woods, there is a small bonfire in the yard at night. There are guitars and books in the living room, coffee, hot water, and ice water for you to pour yourself

The hotel is located far from the station and I had to walk uphill in the heat with my luggage, I sent a request to the hotel to pick up my luggage twice, but never received the service, I got to the hotel, the owner took my passport, I filled out the paper, then they just told me check-in after 15.00, they didn’t offer to leave my luggage, sit down from the road, wait, for a second I’m already over 50 years old, not a girl, I stood near the entrance until I asked “can I leave my luggage before check-in, to which the owner waved his hand at me and that's all. When I arrived at the hotel after 15.00, the hostess appeared and again asked for a passport, I said that her husband had already registered me, no smile, no greeting, nothing, this is the attitude towards Russians, why such discrimination? I come to you, pay you money, not for a hostel, but for a normal room, just to sleep, and this is the attitude. After Tokyo, I was generally in shock, of course, I didn’t expect it, I came to spend my birthday in Nikko, I thought I’d stay in a family hotel, but here this attitude is a huge minus. I do not recommend this family business☹️😡

A very atmospheric homestay in the mountains, with many foreigners staying. There is a stove in the lobby on the first floor. The weather was over 10 degrees, and they also prepared electric blankets, which made the sleep very comfortable. The air outside was fresh and the surrounding scenery was also very good. I went out for a walk in the morning~

It's noisy until late at night.
