The lake is just across the road. New facilities. The wood in my dormitory room create some noise as it is kind of capsule hotel. There is a code provided but the door is unlocked so security is no good.  This will bother otherswhen I move. The lounge provides several kinds of beverages including alcohol. Large common space. Next time I will try the private room.

Located by the Chuzenji Lake, diagonally opposite the cruise ship terminal, it is a mixture of a B&B, a youth hostel and a hotel. There are Japanese-style rooms, twin rooms, and individual bunks. There is an open-air hot spring with a strong smell of sulfur. My body feels slippery after soaking. The room I booked comes with two meals, a combination of Japanese and Western styles. The portions are not large, and I was only eight-tenths full after eating. There is nothing around at night. It is recommended to bring a cup of noodles if you are afraid of being hungry. Checking in requires you to toss on the tablet yourself, which is cumbersome! It is recommended to ask the staff to help!

It looked relatively new when I looked at the photos before booking, but when I arrived, it felt a bit old overall, but it was neat and clean. I hadn't noticed before that this is a hotel with no employees. There are only one or two workers. Any problem is solved by one employee. It is more difficult to contact directly without a Japanese phone number. The food is only available for reservation breakfast, but it feels very cheap and casual. The food in convenience stores will be better than this𥚃. Because the location is relatively far away, the bus schedules are sparse incoming and outgoing, so please pay attention to this! The bus to the station is a little more dense and takes more than ten minutes to go to the Chuzenjiko Onsen Station. You can arrange pick-up and drop-off when you enter the hotel, so it is best to use it. Although there are several restaurants nearby, it takes more than ten minutes to walk and most of them are closed down. If your itinerary focuses on Lake Chuzenji, such as a cruise, if the weather is good and the season is good, you can enjoy the scenery and take photos, watch the lake view in the hotel room, go out to the hot springs to watch the lake view, and eat the reserved breakfast and dinner. The rest is quite inconvenient. Yes, it is inconvenient to take the cable car. . Because I was very tired and couldn't muster the energy to go to the hot springs, I didn't know about the hot springs part of the hotel. I feel that this hotel is more suitable for locals who have cars to go on vacation for two days and one night. When I first saw them as backpackers, I thought it was novel (although we stayed in a private lake view room), and the weather was not very good when we arrived. Well, I was even more bored and tired. Especially the feeling of the hotel was not as new as expected, and it felt fuzzy at night. . I feel that overall it exceeded expectations and is not ideal.

In this hotel, remember to pick up a yukata and toiletries in front of the elevator on the first floor. If you choose a capsule hotel, it only has a bed cover and mattress. You need to fold the quilts together before you can sleep. The hot spring in the hotel is a sulfur spring. You need to walk a long corridor to get to the big bath, and there is a good rest space and billiards facilities on the third floor. It is a good place if there are not many people.

It was my first time staying in a room with other people, and the experience was not good! I had clearly arranged for the lower bunk in F20, but when I got there I found that someone was already sleeping in my bunk! I argued with the waiter, and he said that the person on the upper bunk might have made a mistake and slept on the lower bunk, so he asked me to sleep on the upper bunk! I was so depressed. It was very inconvenient to get on and off the upper bunk. Why did I have to be treated like this? Later, the waiter called and said that I could be exempted from 1,000 yen. I said thank you! But when I checked out the next day, I still didn’t see the refunded 1,000 yen. I asked the front desk clerk, and they made two invoices for me. They said that they had returned the money. I thought it was a system delay, but it has been 5 days and I still haven’t received the refund! It’s not much money, so it doesn’t matter, but I just can’t swallow this breath, so I’ll comment here and share it with everyone. In the future, when you ask for a refund in Japan, try to ask them to refund in cash, otherwise the money will be gone after transferring it back and forth 😳

It is considered a good place to stay, in the middle of a small town, up on a mountain, with few people, lots of nature, and a view of the lake that shines with light during the day. or the moon shining in the night The room was very large for more than 2 people. There was a normal bed and a futon. Japanese floor seating area And the onsen in the hotel that broke midnight was very impressive. When we first arrived, the young employee didn't seem too interested in us. Even though we understand that we still can't check in. We just want to leave our bags first. So I secretly deducted service points. But when checking out, I found an employee who was a bit older. He looked very enthusiastic. I'm very impressed. Thank you so much for being the employee when checking out, it really changed my mood.
