Kinugawa Onsen Hana No Yado Matsuya

Every time I come to the country of cherry blossoms, I will experience a day trip to the hot springs. This time I went to the Kinu River and the day trip near Nikko Onsen Temple. It is recommended that those who need accommodation should choose to stay in the Onsen Temple. The hot spring water here is a sulfur spring hanging flow, and the temperature is also hot. The room is clean and spacious. Needless to say, Japan's hygiene is so clean. The scenery outside the window is picturesque, with red leaves all over the mountains and fields, and we also took an open-air hot spring. The room is equipped with not only a full set of women's skin care products, but also a full set of men's skin care products, and they are POLA full sets. After taking a hot spring bath, I used the hotel's skin care products, and my skin became white and bright. The breakfast was super satisfying, see the picture. The hot spring hotel is a little old, but it is cheap, including breakfast and dinner. It is very close to Kinugawa Hanazono Station, but the car transfer is all in Kinugawa Onsen, which is a little inconvenient. There are many abandoned hot springs along the way. It is not easy for old hot spring hotels to survive. The cost performance is relatively high

Yes, the best times of the hotel itself have passed, but this does not affect the service, the atmosphere, the excellent dinner (and no less wonderful breakfast). I really liked the room, the view is simply gorgeous, sleeping on futons is unusual, but comfortable. The onsen (which is in the open air) is generally great. Very nice, relaxing, good. The best end of the day after visiting Nikko. And, probably, one of the warmest impressions of Japan will be (I am writing while the trail is still fresh, because the trip is not over yet).

There is a peculiar smell in the corner of the second floor. Although it does not affect the room, the overall environment is reduced. The service is very attentive and enthusiastic, with a great attitude and can solve your problems. The biggest feature of this hotel is the hot spring, otherwise there is no need to come. Very Japanese style hot spring, very comfortable. I was soaking in a hot spring outdoors, with maple leaves starting to turn red above my head and the sound of the Kinugawa River in my ears. The clear hot spring water was matched with a very suitable water temperature. Another thing I have to mention is its breakfast, which is a very luxurious Japanese-style imperial meal. The names of the breakfast ingredients are written on an A4 paper and placed on the table. In addition, breakfast time is a bit early, and reservations can only be made until 8:30 at the latest. Transportation: The most inconvenient thing is transportation. The hotel is located at "Kinugawa Koen" station (small station). Because a large part of the trains only go to the previous station "Kinugawa Onsen" station (large station), so there are only some Tobu trains. You will pass by this station. The Tobu trains in Nikko are not as frequent as the inner trains in big cities. The next train usually takes 40-60 minutes. These two factors combined will make you spend a lot of energy planning your return and travel. The hotel will have a shuttle bus to take you to "Kinugawa Onsen" station at 9:00 and 10:20 in the morning. You need to make a reservation in advance. The shuttle bus is a minivan. It can take 4 people at a time. The hotel will allocate the bus frequency according to the reservation situation. If you are going to Nikko from the hotel, you can take the shuttle bus to Kinugawa Onsen Station at 10:20, and then take the bus to Tobu Nikko Station. The time will be shorter (40 minutes). There are quite a lot of people on this bus, and in peak season the whole bus will be packed, so it’s best to queue up in advance. In conclusion, the transportation is indeed not convenient, so it is suitable for self-driving. If you want to experience Japanese-style hotels and hot springs, it is still a hotel worth visiting. Tips: It’s best to send your luggage to the next hotel in advance. It’s not fun to catch a train with a bunch of luggage. Generally, it needs to be sent one day in advance (before 15:00).
