Ambiance particulière dans cet hôtel vieux de 44 ans. Effectivement la chambre et surtout la salle de bain sont basiques. Par contre, les salons communs donnent une ambiance improbable, on aime ou on aime pas. Pour ma part, c'est du jamais vu alors j'aime bien. On a bien mangé. Pas eu le temps de profiter de la piscine, arrivée après le coucher de soleil Lever de soleil incroyable avec une des plus belles vues du séjour. La gentillesse et le servie Tanzanien fidèle au rendez-vous.

Die Lodge ist sehr schön gelegen, das Gebäude ist jedoch in die Jahre gekommen! Das Knarren der Fußböden übertönt das Brüllen der Wasserbüffel! Die verrosteten Leitungen geben dem Wasser die dementsprechende braune Farbe und einen eigenen Geschmack! Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend, das Personal ist sehr bemüht! This is a very large lodge on the hill in a great location. During migration times you can see a lot of animals from your room. We were alone there and that was a good thing because the wooden floors creak terribly loudly. The food wasn't freshly cooked either. Simple lodge in which the owner has invested very little. Since we had a great guide we saw a lot of them.

The first view of the Lobo Wildlife Lodge is spectacular. It is nestled into the rocks on the edge of the Serengeti like a mountain fortress. The view of the savannah from our room window was unique. The sunset observatory, unforgettable (could be a bar there). The staff (like all Tanzanians) were very polite. The food was satisfactory. But the walls were very thin and you could hear the slightest noise or conversation. The wooden floor was also annoying.

The lodge is really like out of a movie. It is located on a remote Kopje (island rock) in the Northern Serengeti, build into the rocks. The premises are teaming with hyax animals (furry relatives to elephants ?!) and the occasional visiting baboon troupe. It is hardly possible to imagine a more special setting, where you can watch animals below from the pool. Staff was very kind and friendly and also the food was tasty.

This small hotel was run by the government during Tanzania's socialist period. The room is small and if there are people next to you (which is unlikely as occupancy was only about 10% when we were here) you can hear them clearly. The architecture is beautiful and blends in with the scenery, the view of Savannah from the room is limited, however you can see a lot of things walking around. The swimming area is a spectacular spot with panoramic views of Savannah. Savannah monkeys, hyraxes and lizards are always around. The service here is a bit slow, below many hotels in Serenget. The food was outstanding - it seemed like there was an Indian in the kitchen - and the management was great.
