The Keyberry Hotel

Under new management so we were told, The room we were allocated was massive, certainly bigger than we were expecting for the modest price we paid, they were also very clean and the bathroom was immaculate! Kaz and Mike were so friendly and very accommodating, The bar was cosy and the beer was great! I'd have stayed a few days longer if they weren't fully booked!

Do not book this hotel. I made a booking and paid in April for accommodation in Aug. When we went to check in the hotel was locked up. We attempted to check in again later. Still locked up. We had to find alternate accommodation. They now will not refund me my money. The worst hotel ever.

We arrived to check in and were happy to see a pool table. Straight away a young man who was clearly a local told us we couldn't play because it was a practise night for the team. Had I been the landlord I would have shut him up !! Small , sweltering room and no breakfast. £85 ??? We slept so badly we left at 6am !!

This was a lovely surprise! Needing to stay in Newton Abbot for a course I happened to find The Keyberry and booked two nights. The welcome was friendly and warm. The room was good, spacious and clean. The mattress was thinner than I’m used to but that’s a personal thing. The bathroom was huge! Big shower, which I appreciated. Breakfast was served between 8.30-9.30 which worked for me on both mornings and again the service was super friendly. The food was good too. Would I stay again? If staying for business absolutely.

We stayed here for one night and could not find fault with anything. We arrived early and the owner let us park the van in the car park while we walked into town. The owners were really helpful and polite. The bedroom was nice. Lovely comfy bed and soft pillows. The bathroom was a good size. The breakfast was really good. Would definitely stay there again.

Held a training course here , the new management were so helpful and friendly , perfect facilities for meeting with quiet surroundings for the exam at end of session. The room was lovely and warm, light and clean. Refreshments set out for the delegates , we will be back very soon.

Never, would I stay in this place again!!!!!... Mouldy shower, bath mat set,(I don't know when this was last washed!)to which I covered over with a towel Broken bed frame ,mouldy smelling room and lack of running water and toilet not flushing properly.. 3 drunks trying to get in the place at gone 12 midnight couldn't sort their keys out so started banging on the door and my room window then proceeded to open my room window. When i told the landlord of this the following morning asking for partial refund he tells me nothing I can do luv,not my problem! How do these people run such places???.....

The bed was so comfy room spotless. The breakfast set you up for the day and the new people running the keyberry are a great addition . It will be even better when they start serving food which will be a bonus. Book early as all rooms taken while I was there

Our room was comfortable and considering it was over a pub very quiet. The new owner was very pleasant and anxious to please. Quite a long walk into town and to rail station. Breakfast was included but only a cooked one so more variety would have been appreciated.
