Stayed one night there along my trip. It was the best among several hotels I stayed along with my trip. Very clean, quiet, more choices for the free breakfast. I will definitely go back again in future.

Good location and price for what one gets. It was quiet and comfortable.

Great friendly reception. Fresh hot cookies, coffee, tea and spa water at check in. $2 wash $2 dry laundry - one set of machines. Rooms were comfortable, clean and well maintained. No pool. Breakfast was rough - coffee was out, toaster and waffle machine weren’t working due to a blown fuse, no one seemed to be attending breakfast. Next to nothing provided to eat. One bright spot - natural peanut butter for your untoasted white bread or English muffin. Yogurt, apples, sugar cereal.

The web site stated zero walking to beach and it was NOT! there are stairs and a lot of them, also vending machines only mean soda! I would NOT have stayed there if I knew it was that far to walk to the beach... about one block to stairs and down 6 flights and yes you have to walk back up them too! check in time is later then most places too! went, stayed and won't be back! Don't like story tellers.

We received an 'unwelcome' welcome. As soon as we walked in the place, entire hotel, smelled of cigarettes. It's been SO LONG since I've stayed in any hotel that allowed smoking I almost forgot how it made me feel sick! AWFUL STAY!!! If you're a smoker, you'd probably enjoy it. I HATED THE NIGHT. Glad it was only for one night!!!

Very convenient, clean hotel within walking distance of the beach. Comfortable room. They serve a good American breakfast. Hotel has a guest laundry facility. Price is reasonably good compared to other hotels nearby.

We spend little time in our hotel when on vacation but want it clean, comfortable and somewhat quiet. We had a great experience here and it was just right for us. We had an end room on the first floor, very roomy. The breakfast had many choices, We came back about 6:30 pm one evening and got a decaf coffee for the sunset...and there were very good cookies available then too! Staff was very friendly, We stayed four nights and will return there next trip to beautiful Newport.

Stayed here during a recent trip to the coast and was very pleased. I spent 3 nights in various towns along the coast, and not only was this the nicest of the hotels, it was actually the cheapest too. It's off the beaten path a bit from Hwy 101 and sits in a quieter residential area, which was nice. My car got broken into in a hotel parking lot in Portland earlier this summer, so I was also very pleased to see that an LCSO deputy lived right across the street from this hotel with a patrol car in the driveway (especially since there seemed to be a few semi-unsavory characters hanging around not too far down the nearby street that runs parallel to the beach). This hotel isn't right ON the beach, but it was just a quick walk across the street to the Shilo, which has a beach access staircase. The room was very clean and well-furnished; lots of coastal hotels are very well-used and end up with a lot of wear and tear, but this one was in surprisingly good shape. The bed was a little too soft for my taste, but that's obviously personal preference. The breakfast had a nice selection of items, and the desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable when we asked them some questions about the area. I'd stay here again. If YOU decide to stay here, do yourself a favor and head over to Pacific Kitchen at Nye Beach for dinner, just a short walk away.

We knew when booking this hotel that it wasn’t a 5 star hotel but decided to take a chance anyway. Within a few minutes of getting into our room I was very disappointed and regretted booking this place. The carpet was so dirty I didn’t want to remove my shoes. The electric outlets were coming out of the wall when trying to plug in the coffee maker. I went down to speak with the front desk about the state of our room and she suggested I speak with the manager the next morning. The next morning I nicely spoke with the manager Chrissy or Christy about the cleanliness of our room and she acted upset that I would say the room was dirty. When I asked if I could leave early and not be penalized she said yeah I guess but I don’t see how it’s dirty. She then proceeded to “accidentally” charge me more than twice rather than issue a refund. She gave me a fake I’m sorry while telling me it wasn’t her fault. It took over 5 business days to get the pending charge off my account and that was only after spending time on my vacation dealing with my bank to file a fraud charge. We now had to get a new credit card because I felt like our account was compromised from the manager and her accident. Do not stay at this dirty, safety hazard place unless you want money taken from your bank account without authorization.
