Decided on a spare of the moment to book direct with the hotel and got a good deal for B&B. Check in was easy, staff friendly and room was great overlooking the river. Nice meal in the evening, staff very attentive and a good breakfast to set you up for the day.

A very pleasant stay enjoyed as a birthday treat and everything was spot on. The facilities were very clean and tidy as usual and the staff were very pleasant. The times we stay here are always very good indeed and this trip has been very nice as usual

My first thoughts when writing this review were how friendly the staff were. We felt welcomed and our dog was spoiled. The food in the evening was fabulous and the breakfast the best. The dog friendly room on the ground floor was spacious and lovely . My partner had suprised me for my birthday and we had a lovely time. I have only given four stars because he hadnt been aware that there was a santas grotto and there would be lots of children running around screaming. Not the hotel’s fault and fabulous for the families but it wasn’t what we expected on arrival. It would be five stars otherwise.

The management seriously needs to start doing their job before this hotel gets closed down for serious health and safety issues. Black mould around the windows in the room along with broken showers and mouldy dirty shower head. Filthy indoor pool with black mouldy spots and slime around the edge of the pool. Very concerning!. Tried to speak to the hotel manager who doesn't seem to ever be available and doesn't return calls. Final straw on returning home a week later received two parking fines for £100 each, demanding immediate payment and legal action for parking illegally. The reception staff had failed to register our car as a resident! No apologies from management or response yet again. A real shame as could be a lovely spa hotel, but not as it is managed and maintained presently.

Great day at the Spa and great service in the coffee shop. From reception to the coffee that’s was served to us by the blonde girl Adela in the coffee shop, everyone was really attentive and make us fell really welcoming.Thank you for our lovely day !!!

We visited for my mum’s 80th birthday. The food was wonderful, especially the fish pie, and sticky toffee pudding. the staff were very attentive and kind, the special touches and private dinning were amazing. We will definitely be here again.

Stoped at The Swan Hotel during a car journey to see if we could get some dinner. The restaurant was busy but that found a table for us. Service was great and food was hot and delicious. Good variety on the menu and the whole hotel was clean and beautifully decorated. Would definitely go back for food or better still to stay and use the facilities.

Lovely hotel from the minute we arrived to checking out. Room was fab, really spacious. Food is delicious and the spa was also one of the best we’ve visited. Overall had an amazing stay. All the staff were really helpful throughout our stay. Perfect pre Christmas break
