It can be said that this small hotel has everything except no elevator. The room comes with slippers. The air conditioner is not a window machine after all. It is very quiet and the bed is very comfortable. Although the room is small, there is a safe and a refrigerator. , the most important thing is the excellent location, it only takes less than 5 minutes to walk to Times Square! The front desk staff will also deliver luggage to the room. If you don’t have elderly children, I highly recommend this hotel!

The West Side YMCA is definitely a no frills place to stay, but the location is excellent. You're right next to Central Park and Columbus Circle. Times Square is an easy walk south. We stayed in 2 different rooms. The first had a bunk bed and was quite small, but the bed was comfy and the room was clean. It also had a small TV and fridge. We had a semi-private bathroom, which was down the hall. This meant we had to scan our key on one of the bathroom doors to get in, but once inside we had privacy while we got cleaned up. The bathrooms were kept clean and tidy. We were able to upgrade the second half of our stay to a room with a larger bed and an in room bathroom. Again, this hotel is no frills. It can be rough around the edges, but it's clean and comfortable at the end of a long day of sightseeing. We did not have time to take advantage of the gym, the pool, the sauna, and stuff like that, but they looked nice. I'd recommend the West Side YMCA. If you're visiting NYC, you should be out doing stuff, not sitting around the room. It was everything we needed it to be.

Pros - Location was great on W39th between 8th & 9th so very central and near lots of bars and restaurants in Times Square. We were able to walk everywhere from our hotel, including Central Park, which is approx 30 min walk. - We found the bed very comfy and enjoyed having the fridge to keep our water cold during the day - The staff were friendly and helpful with booking a car to bring us to the airport and we were welcomed warmly to the hotel. The cleaning staff were also extremely friendly and always smiling, which is always a good sign in my opinion. Cons - Our bedroom door was very stiff to the extent that we thought we were locked in and stuck in the room after the first night and needed to call reception to help us out. The door would be a bit of a safety hazard if there was an emergency and the engineer who helped us did not seem too concerned with the reported issue. - The breakfast was very busy and difficult to get a table to sit at. There was a good choice with bagels / cooked food / yoghurt / cereals and tea / coffee but the food itself was cheap and we decided not to avail of it after the first morning. Coffee was good though! - The floor in our room wasn’t very clean and was sticky even after cleaning. Our socks were filthy if we didn’t wear shoes around the room. - The room was expensive but in-line with New York prices. We chose this as a slightly more expensive hotel due to the breakfast included but we didn’t end up availing of the breakfast due to it not meeting our expectations, which was a bit disappointing.

While I explored nearby Bodegas for budget-friendly groceries, the hostel's public kitchen became my go-to for preparing breakfast and dinner. Although the communal kitchen occasionally suffered from post-use neglect, the dedicated hostel staff ensured it remained clean and well-equipped. The cleanliness of the shared facilities extended to the toilets, which were consistently well-maintained and stocked with amenities. This attention to hygiene contributed significantly to a positive overall experience. Despite booking a bed in a 12-bed room, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and the daily cleaning routine carried out by the diligent hostel staff. Adding to the positive experience, the Hi New York hostel's location proved to be exceptionally convenient for exploring major destinations. The hostel's close proximity to a subway station, just a 2-minute walk away, made traveling around the city a breeze. This accessibility enhanced the overall convenience of my stay, allowing me to easily reach and explore various attractions without any hassle. The strategic location near the subway station was undoubtedly a valuable asset for anyone looking to make the most of their time in the city. In essence, Hi New York hostel provided a comfortable and budget-friendly accommodation option with its friendly staff, convenient amenities, and well-maintained communal spaces. My stay was marked by a harmonious balance of affordability and quality service.

The price-performance choice of New York tourism, the hotel itself is not cheap, especially the peak season, but compared to the same hardware hotel in Isle of Man is still a price-performance choice and the scenery is very good across the bank, very close to the path to the Midtown is very convenient, the United States The hotel is generally no service.

Location is the greatest advantage of this hotel. Less than 1 min by walk from Yellow R & W Subway Whitehall South Station Exit. This hotel has 40+ floors, but 3 guest lifts only. Long waiting time for lift was annoying. The air-conditioning unit was noisy, as it started on/off intermittently all the time. The shower room is tiny, it was just enough room for an adult to turn around the body. The design of shower room glass door was poor, as the bathroom floor would get wet when open the glass door.

Parking is easy. The room was so so. The sound insulation is not very good. The waiter was not very attentive. I happened to meet some black people and felt a bit dangerous. The upper bridge is relatively close.

We stayed two nights here and are satisfied with the room, facility, and service. The staff was very friendly and willing to resolve any issue including the printer.

It’s at the average level. It’s far away from the airport, however if you take a taxi, it costs 6mins and 35 dollars!!!!! All the facilities are not at the expectation but the having enough space (quite big). The bed is comfortable to sleep. The toilet at the bathroom is always full of water (not dirty), it’s normal? Curious about that…… And the hotel service is also acceptable. Overall, as a Hilton hotel, it is under my expectation.
