This NOT a hotel. It is an immigrant homeless shelter. We prepaid our room in December for travel on 5/14/24. We arrived from Europe and were deposited at the lobby of this hotel. It is a HOMELESS SHELTER, and we paid $300 for a room there. We were instant targets with all our luggage standing on the street in this neighborhood. We thankfully got out without loss of life or property. We have filed complaints with Marriott and capital one travel. STAY AWAY

thought how bad can it be, it's a Marriott, even though we knew the area was not great. This is not up to Marriott standards at all!!! Room had a terrible odor, carpet was disgusting with huge stains on it, found hair on the bed, clearly housekeeping is not up to par with the Marriott brand. We were given another room in the hotel and the same thing! Then the third room, the same disgusting odor and dirty carpets. We called Marriott directly and got a refund but had to drive home after a long flight because there was nothing else available nearby. Front desk person was very nice, tried to accommodate us but the condition of each room was just terrible. Would not recommend at all!!

This hotel is now a homeless shelter! We made a booking through *********** a few months ago. When we arrived tonight we were met by a few burly security guards who yelled “this isn’t a hotel!”. It’s been converted into a homeless shelter. Marriott nor *********** made any attempt to cancel the booking or refund us. We booked this to go a concert. Now on the night of the concert we had to scramble and find a new hotel.

We chose this hotel for our trip to see the US Open Tennis. It was rated as one of the top hotels to book for the US Open. The biggest issue is their poor customer service. They chose to end their shuttle service at 10:45 at night. This policy left us stranded at Flushing Meadows around midnight after the women’s semis along with about a dozen other guests of this hotel. We watched as guests from other hotels picked up by shuttles. We had been told by our driver on the way to Flushing Meadows that we could get on the Days Inn shuttle to be taken back to Springhill. However, that did not turn out to be the case. After walking home from the tournament in the middle of the night, I went to the front desk to complain. He just reminded me of a sign they’d put in the lobby about service terminating at 1045pm-which doesn’t explain why other hotels in the area were operating a shuttle. To be fair, the shuttle service was extended to 12:45 after I called the next morning to complain to management. However, this experience tells me this hotel is not very good at customer service and should no longer be considered the best choice of accommodation if you’re going to the US Open. To be fair, the rooms were well maintained and the included breakfast was very good.

Because it's close to La Guardia Airport, and the US Open tennis, I guess they can charge anything they want in early September. But $449 for a hotel experience that was worse than a park bench?! On a park bench, you wouldn't get a toilet that ran constantly throughout the night, less than ten feet away from our pillow... or an automatic light in the bathroom that turned on if you moved while in bed... or a fumigation spray that had us choking and coughing the minute we first entered the room (was it carcinogenic? Time will tell)... or a breakfast "buffet" that would only compete with a cut-rate motel... or an elevator that stuck five of us between floors for over a minute -- not serious, but how were we to know at the time? Stains on the carpet, and a "suite" that was the size of a small standard hotel room, just added to the highlights of the experience. I truly can't understand the "excellent" reviews for this hotel. For us, it was a disaster.

The good: front desk person was quite nice and gave me another room after I told her the first room smelled like urine. Breakfast was decent, normal for Marriott. The bad: As other reviewers said, the carpet is disgusting, and probably where the smell is coming from. Not sure if this was on all floors, but 3/3 rooms on the first floors smelled really bad. Stayed there because it was a super convenient easy walk to get to the US Open.

Stayed her a few years ago when we had flight issues. The hotel was new and very clean. Once again, like many other travelers, we had a flight cancellation and decided to stay here again. Had 2 rooms and they were not good! We were only going to be there for 5-6 hours, so did not try to change rooms. The beds at least seemed clean, but the carpets were disgusting - red stains everywhere! Good points - Check in was easy and the shuttle to the airport at 4:30 was on time. This property needs a good cleaning! No value for the price paid - Marriott should be ashamed.

Disgusting hotel. We had to move rooms once because the carpets were filthy. We were moved to a second room, and there is a giant red stain infront of the refrigerator. Like somebody spilled kool aid or blood and just let it sit there. We are exhausted and so we’re going to sleep, but how can a $200+ hotel allow this to continue? The hotel needs a serious renovation and new carpets asap.

From start to finish, bad visit. Long line at check-in (no digital key available), room had a bad smell, no shampoo/conditioner provided and the blinds were broken. I called for conditioner/shampoo, it never arrived. I asked for a new room, one with a view but they were booked and that all the floors above 3 are reserved for the airlines. Titanuim at this location does not matter. The guy at the front desk was scrambling to check people in and answer calls while the manager sat there at her desk behind the counter. Cheap/fast uber to the Citi Field stadium and a very nice shuttle service driver to airport is what earned the 2nd star.
