The hotel is in a decent location if you want to be in the downtown area close to Bourbon Street. Plenty of good little hole in the wall places to eat, which were great. The room itself needed some work. This was by far the darkest room I have ever stayed in as there are not many lights and the room we had was on the side where there was another tower/ high-rise building, so didn't get much natural light except for early morning. Once I did get some natural light, I discovered why they keep it so dark; the room was FILTHY!!!! The floor hadn't been swept let alone mopped in God only knows how long and when we asked for it to be, the girl from housekeeping was not happy. When we returned after it was supposedly swept and mopped, it wasn't much better. The toiletries bottles in the shower were also empty and were never refilled either. There is a little bar in the lobby which was a nice place to wind down and the bar tender was very nice. Be warned, there is no swimming pool in the facility, only a little outside deck on the 6th floor for smoking. Not sure I would book here again. For this to be Marriott facility, I was pretty shocked by the lack of upkeep/ cleanliness.
