Enjoyed an excellent stay in this wonderful hotel, the location is great- just a few minutes walk from the village centre and bus stops in both directions right outside the hotel. Staff all very friendly, helpful and attentive- Monika on reception was excellent. Outstanding food, well prepared and served in a lovely dining room with reasonably priced drinks . My bedroom overlooked the road but I found it very quiet; it was comfortable, well equipped, clean and with a view of the mountains too. Gardens and pool were gorgeous and well kept. Really enjoyed the delicious afternoon cakes- what a treat! So much to see and do in the area- loved Grawa Waterfall; the Stubai Valley is stunning, free transport on the buses, tram and cable cars with the Stubai card is a real bonus! Visited the Olympic ski jump at Bergisel which was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed the Serles Toboggan run- great fun! Don't forget to try the local strudel- it always tastes so much better in the Tyrol! A memorable holiday (travelled with Inghams - highly recommended) and would definitely return! Thank you to all staff at the Alpenhotel Fernau- brilliant!

We booked 2 rooms in this hotel, both were excellent. I would recommend requesting a view towards the glacier when booking. All rooms have a balcony which is nice. Our room overlooked the road which was a bit noisy at times. Superb food. Good breakfasts with plenty of choice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Plenty to do in the surrounding area .

Fabulous hotel in a nice quiet resort. Staff all very attentive and extremely helpful. As I was getting off the bus in a storm, the waiter came across the road with an umbrella to keep me dry which was lovely. The stubai card is a wonderful bonus and we used it daily. You can do all 4 cable cars in a day (we managed 3). Lots of walks in valley and up / down the mountains suitable for all levels of fitness. The nature walk from the top of schlick 2000 down to the middle station had phenomenal views with lunch at the hut enroute. We went to innsbruck and took cable cars up the nordkette (get innsbruck card) views were breathtaking from both sides at the top. Highly recommend this hotel and resort.

A Fantastic 2 weeks at Alpenhotel Fernau a perfect hotel. The staff were all friendly ad very helpful. Great location being just out of the main town centre but still easy access for buses and to the Elfer lift too. Bus directly outside the hotel with alive tracker on a screen on the reception desk to check when the buses where due. Although it is only 10 minutes walk to get the other bus. There is also a TV in reception which shows the Stubai channel (channel 1 on the room TV) it shows which lifts are open and the days weather which was always worth checking on a morning before heading out. We had a double room with views of the mountains and our view was perfect down the valley to the Glacier in the distance. The room and the rest of the hotel was clean and tidy. Our room had a fridge which had water supplied, a safe, wardrobe and shelves, desk and chairs, table and chair on the balcony, shower gel and hand soap, bedside tables with one with a lockable draw. TV with limited English channels but that wasn't an issue. Loved sitting on the balcony looking over the mountains and at the glacier with a glass of beer. The garden and outside space were calming and relaxing with a lovely swimming pool with a fresh supply of swimming towels available, there are different types of chairs and recliners so everyone can choose what they prefer to sit on including one with a hood over to protect from the sun. At Breakfast there was a large choir from yoghurt, fruit, cereals, bacon, eggs, meats and cheese, fresh bread and cake too. Cake buffet in the afternoon had a choice of different cakes to enjoy inside or in the garden. Supper was wonderful fresh salad to start then a starter followed by soup, then the main and desert. You got to choose you main at breakfast but the other choices were left until evening. 2 special nights were a Tyrolean night on the Sundays and a BBQ night on the Tuesdays. During summer you get the Stubai card which is brilliant as it allows you to travel on the buses, the train to Innsbruck, one ride each way on each lift each day and one trip on the summer Toboggan each week. It also gives discount at lots of other attractions. The location of the hotel was peaceful and perfect to take a walk down the river which you can hear and see from the hotel. Some things to do- the new suspension bridge panoramic trail, go up the Elfer on a Monday Evening in Summer for Sunset, Grawa Waterfalls and Wilde Water Way, the Glacier, Schlick 2000 nature walk.

We stayed in one of the holiday apartments of this hotel for 10 days. It was great. The flat was large and very well equipped, with oven, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher and many dishes and saucepans, glasses, cups, etc... A tv in every bedroom and in the living room. The balcony is large, flowered and with an excellent view. Everything was perfectly clean. The hotel facilities are very nice : beautiful swimmingpool with a magnifique view, and very nice garden (flowers everywhere), full spa and jacousy area, fitnessroom, table tennis table, tennis court, etc ... The gardener was particularly friendly and hard working to make sure everybody was comfortable in the pool area. Towels are provided daily in the pool and spa areas. The only thing that annoyed me was the number of catholique crosses and crucifix displayed all over the apartment. It s a cultural thing, I understand this, but still quite agressive having all these statues of Jesus watching you !!! 😉. I just unhang them, put them under the bench while we were there, and back onto their spot before we left. Also, if you re an animal lover or dislike hunting as a sport, be warned that you ll find animal heads, horns and hunting troffees and pictures in the stair case ! It s a question of taste I guess, I dont mind them, but just warning you, in case you re vegan or something...😉 A washmachine for laundry could be useful for families, there was none in the apartment. However the hotel provides laundry service should you need it. The bus stop is just in front of the hitel, very convenient. And the carpark is big enough.

Did a week Apr 23. Not only is the hotel very good, logistics for skiing are superb. Great drying room for ski kit, skis and boots. Bus stop to slopes is a woeful 10metres from the door, however some of the bus drivers pull up right outside on way back and the walk is then only 2 long Metres 🤩. So: Breakfast = fab, then to ski room and bus stop = so easy. We alternated and came back on early lift down around 3:20 to have a bit of Apre in the hotel, hotel does cooler and cake (tea for us!) and the cake selection is 💙🎂. Or, we had a drink on the hill and came down around 4:30. All good. Bus stop busy as it was Easter but we didn’t wait more than 10-15mins (twice). On return I went to sauna/jacuzzi (very German - rules wise!), but very nice esp for relaxing ski muscles, loved it 😍 however wife would join as too bare for her (understandably). However the locals were experts at discretion so all very conservative. Dinner was/is a 6-course affair and for me every night was a 8/10+ dining experience. Really good. My wife is dairy intolerant and the staff went out of their way to cater for this and would cook specific main meals for her if the main menu was not aligned, but usually there was a decent option available. I, being the greedy type totally relished in the evening fayre, it was great every day. The wine choices were decent as well c30Euro/Bottle. Went well with supper courses and the cheese 🧀 Service from the staff was brill too, friendly and caring, they were/are lovely. I know I gush, but tbh this was above what I expected. We were knackered every night after ski school and didn’t have any energy to self cater. We had planned to go out a few nights as the half board option was only around 20-bucks/head. But not only is the Dorf (village) quite pricey, the will to leave the hotel was not there for us, and the hotel sanctuary was immense. If we weren’t in ski school am/pm then perhaps a more relaxed approach would enable going out more, or enthusiasts of self catering. For us this was so perfect and with WIFI being good, I was happy to be in bed by 10, watching Netflix whilst wife and boy went sparko. I didn’t last long myself. We got lucky, the weather was ace, the hotel was ace, the bus was ace, ski schools were ace (Red SCHOOL.. the local council lot!!) the ski hire shop (Inter Sport in the village!) was fab and tolerant. The wife tried in more boots than Cinderella wannabees 🥹 Top tip; if your going to Stubai Neustift is perfect and half board is prob best value, and deffo house-work-free! Enjoy 💙💙🏆
