This is a perfect location. With lots of bars and eateries on your doorstep. Close to the the lovely beaches and the famous Balcón de Europa which is very beautiful with far reaching views of the sea and mountains. Our room, that was at the front of the property, was nicely decorated with a large comfortable bed, and air conditioning. My only criticism would be that it could be a little noisy at night, and early in the morning with deliveries to the shop over the road.. The continental breakfast is downstairs where Frank makes fresh muffins and waffles which are delicious, alongside the other usual items, great coffee. Thank you Frank x

A little gem right in the heart of Nerja. This was such good value we thought we might be compromising quality but no! Room spotlessly clean. Roomy bathroom with toiletries. Air conditioning and even a little terrace. Access was so easy rang the number on the door and keys were waiting inside.

Luna de Nerja is in a really good location on Calle Pintada, the main shopping street, and only a 3 minute stroll to the Balcon and Playa Calahonda. The owner was welcoming, helpful and very much hands on. I had a comfortable rear room on the first floor (no lift to higher floors) with a small terrace which was very quiet. I would imagine that rooms overlooking the street will also be pretty quiet at night after the shops close and visitors move to the bars & restaurants which are in abundance down by the Balcon and in Calle Almirante Ferrándiz. Although breakfast in a small basement room was included in the price, this is not your English package holiday type of hotel with a bacon & egg breakfast. Coffee & a couple of croissants is enough for me so I was quite happy. I arrived in Nerja by car and, whilst parking in town is really expensive, Luna de Nerja is only a 4/5 minute walk from either of the two central car parks - Carabeo and Plaza De España. It’s a great little hotel at very reasonable price right in the centre of everything. I would certainly stay here again.

From the time that we checked in Frank was the nicest host. In Nerja you get very little English which is great but Frank spoke English and made it easy when giving directions and recommendations. The room was great for my daughter and I. Every morning Frank offered you coffee, pastry or some juice.. Even in the morning before our departure, he woke up early to brew us some coffee. His hospitality was amazing. Besides Nerja Spain is a very well secret.from Americans. We will return .

Fantastic, location, spotless clean, comfy beds. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. So kind and welcoming, good breakfast. Franck is so helpful and obliging and will do his best to suit your needs. Showed us 3/4 rooms and let us choose which one. Lovely decor in rooms too, very fresh. 😎😊

The noise in this building is absolutely horrendous. If you're an insomniac then this is the place for you, at least you'll have something to listen to. In fact, all the buildings in the old town of Nerja we stayed in are appalling sound wise. The waste water chutes run through the inside of the buildings, so if someone flushes the toilet, runs the tap, or showers above you, then you hear it all come down above/on top of your head, if you're on the lower floors at least. And that usually happens all night here. There is zero insulation in these buildings. All tile floors, paper thin walls and no real curtains obviously, due to the climate. Ear plugs are essential, or top floor. I guess that's why the locals need a Siesta in the afternoon, due to suffering severe sleep deprivation every night. Avoid like the plague if you are a light sleeper. Pay to stay in an expensive hotel if you can, or a more modern apartment a little down the road if not, and visit the old town (it is very pretty by the way and many of the locals are nice people, so not all bad) for lunch/dinner/drinks etc. Watch your drink when you're out and about though, as spiking is fairly common, especially at the weekend in Nerja!
